ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs lets you run your Tokyo repair shop mostly on your own terms, and the way you treat a handful of key customers decides how the whole thing wraps up. There are four outcomes in total, and only one of them requires you to chase down every optional story beat.
Quick answer: Finish the main objectives for the default ending. To unlock the Happy ending, complete all four customer arcs (Hashimoto, the girl with the Eggotchi, the Student, and the Gangster). Then keep following up on each of those arcs to trigger the Hidden ending. Mismanaging every main customer leads to the Bad ending.
The four endings compared
Every ending hinges on your choices with four recurring customers rather than on how much money you make. The default finale comes automatically, while the better outcomes stack on top of it as you dig deeper into each person’s story.

Normal ending: just finish the story
This is the outcome you land on if you simply do your job. Take the objectives the game hands you, complete the repair tasks, and let the main story play out. It runs roughly 9.5 hours, though a focused run can be shorter.
There is nothing grim about it. The default finale is warm and carries no negative consequences, so treat it as the baseline rather than a failure state.
The four customer arcs that unlock the Happy ending
The Happy ending needs a few extra steps beyond the main objectives. Four customers each bring a unique request, and handling all of them the right way pushes you past the default finale. Pay close attention to each of these people.
Hashimoto (your landlord)
Hashimoto is your first key customer and brings in one of the game’s Nokia-style Pokia phones for repair. Offer to work for free. He still pays you, and doing this opens the door to ask about the device’s history.
The girl with the Eggotchi
She only asks you to fix the screen, but the important step is restoring the device’s data. Recovering it reveals a lot about her family history, which is what feeds into the better ending.
The Student
This lovestruck student approaches you for help sharing his confession. Don’t brush him off. Hear him out and help him deliver it.
The Gangster
You find a confidential device that could send him to prison. Do not report his crime. Help him start over with a clean slate instead.
Clear all four arcs and the Happy ending triggers. It takes around 10 hours, and it is easy to stumble into it without realizing you were on track.
Hidden (Secret) ending: follow up on every arc
The Hidden ending is a continuation of the Happy path, so you must reach that first. From there, you have to return to each of the four customers and see their stories through a second time. Miss even one follow-up and the Secret ending will not trigger.
This is the complete, longest ending, and it is the one to aim for if you are in no rush to finish. Skipping any single one of these follow-up activities locks you out of it.
Bad ending: mishandle every main customer
There is also a Bad ending, and reaching it is deliberate work. You have to make the wrong decision with every main customer, effectively doing the opposite of the arcs above. It exists mainly as a curiosity, so there is little reason to chase it unless you want to see the worst outcome.
Because the branching storyline is replayable, you can experience the default finale on one run and then go back for the Happy and Hidden versions by paying closer attention to the same four people.
