Diablo 2 Resurrected S15: Best Builds for Every Class (Including Warlock)

A top-performing pick for each of the eight classes, with the roles they excel at and the immunities that hold them back.

A top-performing pick for each of the eight classes, with the roles they excel at and the immunities that hold them back.

Season 15 keeps at least one standout build alive for every class in Diablo 2: Resurrected, and even classes that took nerfs still land somewhere reasonable. The catch is the same one that always separates D2R from newer action RPGs like Diablo 4: you have to grind out the gear yourself before any of these reach their end-game ceiling.

Quick answer: Roll a Blizzard Sorceress to start the season, then aim for Lightning Javazon (Amazon), Lightning Trapsin (Assassin), Whirlwind (Barbarian), Wind/Hurricane (Druid), Summoner (Necromancer), Hammerdin (Paladin), or Fire Warlock as your class-specific end-game target.

Immunities are the real gatekeeper

Almost every top pick here leans on a single damage type, which is efficient right up until you meet an enemy immune to it. In Hell, that is a constant. A Lightning Javazon or Trapsin stalls against Lightning Immune packs, a Whirlwind Barbarian struggles with Physical Immune foes, and a Blizzard Sorceress hits a wall against anything Cold Immune.

The fix is a Sunder Charm matched to your damage type, which breaks that immunity down enough to keep killing. If a build below carries this flaw, treat the matching Sunder Charm as part of your end-game checklist rather than an optional extra.

Blizzard Sorceress: the season starter to build first

Blizzard is the cleanest way to open S15. It asks for far less investment than a Lightning Sorceress, it comes online quickly, and it hits hard enough to farm the gear your other characters will need. Once it is rolling, you can pivot the same character toward Lightning or Chain Lightning, or simply keep mastering Blizzard, which stands on its own.

The trade-off is fragility. The Sorceress is squishy, kiting is a skill you have to learn, and Cold Immune enemies will stop you cold without a Cold Sunder Charm. If you have never kited a pack around a room, this is where you learn.

Lightning builds for fast clears: Javazon and Trapsin

The Lightning Javazon is about as reliable as Amazons get. It handles Uber farming, kills and farms Elites, and tears through Terror Zones without much fuss. In practice it usually runs Lightning Fury or Lightning Strike, and watching Charged Strike shred a cluster of enemies never really gets old.

The Assassin’s Lightning Trapsin plays a similar game with even less effort. It lays down Lightning Sentry and Death Sentry, then lets the traps do the work while you reposition. It is easy to pilot and wildly strong once geared, with the familiar Lightning Immune problem being the only thing that slows it down. A Lightning Sunder Charm smooths that out.

Physical melee: Whirlwind Barbarian and Hammerdin

Whirlwind is the Barbarian’s default answer in S15. It is simple, almost mindless, and there is a deep pool of gear that supports it. It can feel clunky and dull to play, and Physical Immune enemies are a genuine roadblock, but those packs are rare. Keep moving past them, or carry a Physical Sunder Charm, and the build rarely stalls.

The Hammerdin is not just the best Paladin build, it is one of the best builds in the game full stop. Blessed Hammer spirals out around you and crushes almost anything it touches thanks to the magic damage bypassing most immunities. It leans heavily on gear, it can be dull, and it dislikes narrow corridors, but it is safe, strong, and able to handle nearly every activity.

Elemental casters: Wind Druid and Fire Warlock

The Wind Druid, also called Hurricane, stacks Tornado, Hurricane, and Cyclone Armor alongside a group of summons to move and kill at speed. Its big advantage is variety, since it mixes damage types and can push through a Cold Immune pack, for example. The downside is access. It is not beginner friendly, most of its setup is rare, and it simply does not function without Enigma.

The Warlock is new to D2R, and Fire Warlock has already established itself as the standout. It doubles as a strong leveling path and transitions naturally into an end-game build, dealing satisfying AoE fire damage that is easy to learn. It uses a lot of skills, so it is fairly hands-on, and like the other single-element picks it carries risk against immunities plus real gear demands at the top end.

Summoner Necromancer for safety-first play

Bone Necro is often crowned the top choice for clearing Ubers, but the Summoner is the more forgiving way to play the class. An army of undead fights and dies in your place, which makes you far harder to kill than most other builds in the game. Pair that horde with Corpse Explosion and Amplify Damage and very little survives the crush.

Like most end-game builds it wants gear, and learning to position for the biggest Corpse Explosion chains takes practice. It also gives you multiple damage options through your minions, which softens the immunity problem that hits the single-element builds hardest. If you want the safest route through Hell, this is it.

No matter which class you pick, the pattern holds: start with something cheap and fast like the Blizzard Sorceress, farm the gear and Sunder Charms your main build needs, then build toward the class-specific pick above. The builds are strong, but the season is a grind, and the payoff comes from the loot you earn along the way.
