Repair the Bell Tower is one of the town improvement projects added with the 1.0 release of Fields of Mistria, and it puts the town’s long-shuttered Bell Tower back into service. Zorel hands you the job by mail once your town is high enough rank, and finishing it grants Renown, opens the tower’s interior, and unlocks an achievement. The materials are what slow most players down, since two of them can only be made deep in the Mines.
Quick answer: Reach Town Rank Level 90 (Diamond) and finish the Meet the New Vendors quest, then read Zorel’s letter, meet the group at the Bell Tower west of town, and deposit 20 Refined Stone, 30 Hardwood, 1 Dragon-Forged Fang, and 1 Dragon-Forged Core into the Donation Box beside it. Speak to Adeline to finish.
Unlock requirements for the Bell Tower quest
Two conditions gate the quest, and both take real time to reach. You need to hit the top Town Rank and clear the market questline that introduces the new vendors before the letter will ever arrive.
- Reach Town Rank Level 90, the Diamond rank.
- Complete the Meet the New Vendors quest, which becomes available after you finish Expanding the Saturday Market.
Town Rank climbs through Renown, and the most consistent ways to earn it are donating first copies of new items to the museum, clearing Request Board tasks for townsfolk, and dropping duplicates in your shipping bin to sell overnight. Once you hit Diamond and clear the vendor quest, talk to Stillwell and Zorel at the Saturday Market, then wait a few in-game days for the mail.

The quest giver is Zorel, and the letter lands in your mailbox at the farmhouse. Read it, then sleep to the next day to keep the quest progressing.

Four items go into the Donation Box. The stone and wood are routine, but the two Dragon-Forged pieces demand late-game Mine access.
| Item | Amount | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Refined Stone | 20 | Craft at the Stone Refinery |
| Hardwood | 30 | Chop tall trees in the Deep Woods |
| Dragon-Forged Fang | 1 | Craft at the Dragon Forge, Mine Floor 90 |
| Dragon-Forged Core | 1 | Craft at the Dragon Forge, Mine Floor 90 |
Refined Stone comes out of the Stone Refinery, which turns Stone and Essence into refined materials. The Deep Woods is the fastest place for Hardwood, since even ordinary-looking trees there drop it when felled.
Crafting the Dragon-Forged Fang and Dragon-Forged Core
Both Dragon-Forged items are made only at the Dragon Forge workbench on Floor 90 of the Mines, inside the Ancient Ruins. You reach that forge after completing Breaking the Final Seal, which is what opens the deepest Mine section. Without that progress, you cannot craft either piece.
The Dragon-Forged Core is also the material used for the Engagement Ring, so its recipe is worth learning either way. The Dragon-Forged Fang has its own list of components, most of them pulled from the Ancient Ruins levels between Floor 80 and Floor 99.
| Dragon-Forged Fang component | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Monster Fang | 5 | Defeat saplings, flying tomes, and living griffin statues in the Mines and Ancient Ruins |
| Void Stone | 5 | Mine Void Stone nodes in the Mines |
| Void Herb | 5 | Forage void herbs in the Mines |
| Written Root | 1 | Forge in the Ancient Ruins |
| Medium Essence Stone | 1 | Craft at the Stone Refinery |

How to confirm the quest is done
A closing cutscene plays after you talk to Adeline, showing the finished tower. You receive 50 Renown and gain access to the Bell Tower’s interior, and the Ringing Ovation achievement unlocks. On your next visit the tower will appear fully restored. If the achievement stays locked, make sure the repair conversation with Adeline actually completed and that your build is updated, since version 1.0.2 blocks entering the tower early by glitch and fixes a crash tied to rapidly using the tower ladders.
Inside, the tower holds a pedestal for a Sound Resonator crystal, which lets you change the town’s default song and the sound of the town bell. You can buy a Sound Resonator and extra Song Crystals from Zorel’s stall at the Saturday Market, and there’s a free Song Crystal waiting in a chest up the ladder at the top of the tower.
