Sony is dressing up the PlayStation 5 for Logan. A set of limited-edition Marvel’s Wolverine hardware is on the way, split across two looks. There’s a loud “Battle Yellow” that leans into Wolverine’s classic suit, and a sleeker “Adamantium” finish in metallic silver. Both come with claw-mark cutouts that let you see inside the console.
Quick answer: Pre-orders open August 19 at 10 AM local time. The Battle Yellow PS5 Digital Edition bundle costs $649.99, controllers are $84.99 each, and console covers are $74.99. Everything ships beginning September 15, the same day the game launches.
The two designs and what each one covers
The bright yellow look is the headline item. It’s inspired by Insomniac’s Battle Reborn suit and claws, and it’s the only version sold as a full console. That bundle uses a PS5 Digital Edition, so there’s no disc drive. Slashes cut across the console and controller, and the panels are see-through so you can peek at the hardware underneath.
The Adamantium design is more restrained. It swaps the yellow for a premium metallic silver finish with the same claw-slashed detailing. This one is not sold as a full console. It exists only as PS5 Pro console covers and a matching DualSense controller.
Both looks were created by Jock, a Scottish graphic artist who also worked on the key art for the game. He draws traditionally with ink, and that hand-drawn energy carries into the console and accessory designs.

The Battle Yellow bundle and its matching controller are also priced at ¥96,980 and ¥12,480 in Japan, with the yellow covers at ¥9,980. The Adamantium items are not listed with a Japanese yen price.
Console cover compatibility
If you already own a PS5, you don’t have to buy a new console to get the look. The Battle Yellow covers fit the current slim PS5 model group and come in versions for both disc and disc-less consoles. There are also Battle Yellow covers for the PS5 Pro.
The Adamantium covers are PS5 Pro only. There is no standard PS5 version of the silver design.
Where to buy and pre-order timing
Pre-orders open on August 19 at 10 AM local time. In the US that’s 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. Everything is sold while supplies last, and quantities are limited.
The Battle Yellow PS5 Digital Edition bundle and the standalone yellow controller have the widest reach. Both are available globally through PlayStation Direct and select retailers.
The console covers and the Adamantium controller are more restricted. They sell directly through PlayStation in regions where direct.playstation.com operates, and through select retailers outside those regions. Those direct-sale regions are the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Austria. If you order directly from PlayStation, eligible pre-orders include free launch-day delivery.
Release date
Marvel’s Wolverine launches exclusively on PS5 on September 15, 2026. The limited-edition hardware becomes available on that same day. The game itself is a new original story from Insomniac Games, made with Marvel Games, following Logan as he rejoins mutant task force Team X and travels through locations like Canada, Japan, and Madripoor.
If you want the yellow, act early on August 19, since the full console bundle is the version most likely to sell out fast. If the metallic silver look suits your setup better, keep in mind it only fits a PS5 Pro, and only as covers and a controller.
