Lineage Piece: How to Unlock Observation and Armament Haki

Both Haki types require different currencies and tasks, from a five-torch puzzle to a rare book drop.

Both Haki types require different currencies and tasks, from a five-torch puzzle to a rare book drop.

Lineage Piece currently has two Haki types you can unlock, Observation Haki and Armament Haki (called Bosu Haki in-game). Observation Haki gives you up to 10 dodges that fully negate incoming hits, while Armament Haki raises your damage by +25% when active. One is earned through a questline, the other through a rare item drop.

Quick answer: For Observation Haki, reach Level 1,500+, defeat 40 World Bosses, light all 5 torches to get the Observation Haki Book, then hand the book and 2.5M Yen to the Observation Haki NPC at Deeproot Jungle Island. For Armament Haki, farm a Haki Book (0.1% drop from any mob or boss) and give it plus 1,250 Gems to the Bosu Haki NPC at Frostborn Island.

How to unlock Observation Haki in Lineage Piece

Observation Haki is tied to a questline that starts at Deeproot Jungle Island. Head to the wooden bridge in the center of the island and talk to the Observation Haki NPC standing at one end of it. You must be Level 1,500+ before he will hand over the quest.

Defeat 40 World Bosses. Any World Boss counts, so target the weakest one to speed this up. You can spawn the Verdant Hero World Boss at Legend’s Arena for 1x Summon Core and 250 Gems by talking to the Boss Summon NPC on the left side of the arena.
Light all 5 torches scattered across the map. Once you light the fifth one, you receive the Observation Haki Book, an untradeable item needed to finish the unlock.
Return to the Observation Haki NPC at Deeproot Jungle Island and give him the Observation Haki Book plus 2.5M Yen. He teaches you Observation Haki, which you can use right away.

All 5 torch locations for the Observation Haki puzzle

The five torches sit on Deeproot Jungle Island, Legend’s Arena Island, Frostborn Island, Scorched Ruins Island, and Fossil Island. Interact with each one to light it.

Deeproot Jungle Island: From the spawn point, cross the wooden bridge straight ahead. The torch is on a tree trunk on the left side of the bridge.

Frostborn Island: From spawn, walk straight toward the Quest Level 601 to Level 800 NPC. Look across from there to find a single tree behind a street lamp. The torch is on that tree.

Legend’s Arena Island: Head to the right corner of the island where the Saber NPC stands. Look behind the tree to spot three pillars, and check the outside of the rightmost pillar for the torch.

Fossil Island: Move toward the Sung Jinwoo Boss, then go right and keep going straight until you reach the Muzan NPC. The torch sits on the tree trunk right beside him.

Scorched Ruins Island: From spawn, head left toward the leftmost tree to find and light the final torch.

Lighting the fifth torch drops the Observation Haki Book into your inventory automatically. That is your cue to go back to the NPC and finish the trade.

How to unlock Armament (Bosu) Haki in Lineage Piece

Armament Haki has no questline. You unlock it by giving a Haki Book and 1,250 Gems to the Bosu Haki NPC on Frostborn Island. Gems come from completing quests, defeating World Bosses, and redeeming active codes.

The catch is the Haki Book itself. It has a 0.1% drop chance from any mob or boss in the game, so this is a grind rather than a quick objective. Farm dense enemy groups to raise your kills per hour, since more kills directly means more chances at the drop.

If the drop refuses to appear, you can trade for a spare book from another player. Use the in-game trade feature to keep the exchange safe.

Rerolling your Armament Haki color

When you unlock Armament Haki, its aura appears in a random color. You can change it with Haki Color Rerolls, which are purely cosmetic and give no stat bonus. There are two ways to get them.

SourceDrop chance
Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythical ChestsUnknown
Any mob NPC or boss4%

Use the reroll straight from your inventory to change the aura color while Armament Haki is active.

Those are the only two Haki types available right now. Conqueror’s Haki is not in Lineage Piece yet, so there is no way to obtain it at this time. Having both Observation and Armament Haki ready puts you in a strong spot if a third variant is added in a future update.
