Genshin Impact Odette Build Guide: Best Weapons, Artifacts, and Teams

Everything that goes into a working Odette, from her signature sword and Heart of the Furnace set to the Stellar reaction teams she slots into.

Everything that goes into a working Odette, from her signature sword and Heart of the Furnace set to the Stellar reaction teams she slots into.

Odette is a 5-star Cryo Sword character from Snezhnaya who plays as a sub-DPS and support hybrid. She enables both the Stellar Swirl and Stellar Conduct reactions, buffs the whole team’s Stellar Glimmer damage, and chips in off-field damage while your main carry holds the field. Building her is straightforward because she mainly wants ATK and Crit, and she has a wide pool of strong swords to choose from.

Quick answer: Give Odette a 4-piece Heart of the Furnace set, run ATK% on Sands and Goblet with a CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG Circlet, aim for around 3,000 ATK, level her Elemental Skill first, and pair her with an Electro or Anemo unit to trigger Stellar reactions.

Best artifacts and stat priority for Odette

Heart of the Furnace is her default best set. The 2-piece gives 18% ATK, and the 4-piece adds another 12% ATK when she triggers or deals Stellar Glimmer reaction damage while raising Stellar Glimmer reaction damage for the whole team by 50%. That teamwide buff works even while she is off-field, so as long as no one else on the team runs the same set, Odette should wear it.

There are two situational alternatives. In Stellar-Conduct teams, Disenchantment in Deep Shadow gives her stronger personal damage, but it does nothing in Stellar Swirl setups. If your team leans on ATK-scaling DPS units and no one else is running it, Tenacity of the Millelith is a good pick thanks to her long 20-second field-double uptime. Otherwise, any two sets that each provide an ATK% bonus will do until you farm a clean 4-piece.

SlotMain stat
SandsATK% (or Elemental Mastery once ATK is high)
GobletATK% (or Elemental Mastery once ATK is high)
CircletCRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
SubstatsCRIT Rate/DMG > ATK% > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge

Her damage scales with ATK, so ATK% is the safe main stat on Sands and Goblet. Once she reaches roughly 3,000 ATK, Elemental Mastery becomes nearly as valuable and only falls slightly behind, which is why it also appears in her substat line. Keep CRIT on the Circlet and balance CRIT Rate against CRIT DMG for whichever ratio your pieces support. Energy Recharge can usually be ignored because she often skips her Burst, though some teams leave enough downtime to fit it in every rotation.

Best weapons for Odette

Whitelake Frostfeather is her signature sword and best in slot. It provides a high base ATK and 22.1% CRIT Rate, stacks ATK when she hits with her Elemental Skill, and at 3 stacks it boosts the CRIT DMG of any Stellar Glimmer reaction damage she causes while restoring energy. Her frequent off-field hits from the dance double make those stacks easy to keep up. One caveat is that it adds nothing for the team, so its total DPS gain over a good free option can be small.

If you do not have her signature, several strong swords cover ATK and Crit. The free craftable route is very accessible, and Emberwell in particular stands out because it also buffs Stellar Glimmer reaction damage.

WeaponRarityWhy it works
Whitelake Frostfeather5-starSignature; CRIT Rate, ATK, Stellar Glimmer CRIT DMG, and energy return
Azurelight5-starHigh base ATK, CRIT Rate, and a large ATK passive
Primordial Jade Cutter5-star44.1% CRIT Rate plus an ATK bonus from Max HP
Finale of the Deep4-starStrong free-to-play pick with a big ATK boost
Emberwell4-starCraftable; EM, ATK, and a Stellar Glimmer damage buff

Note: If you run the Traveler in Odette’s team, keep the free Snezhnaya sword on the Traveler instead, since Odette cannot use that weapon’s passive.

Odette talent priority

Level her talents in this order: Elemental Skill, then Elemental Burst, then Normal Attack.

Her Elemental Skill is the core of her kit. It summons the dance double that deals continuous off-field Cryo damage and enables her duet finisher, which is where most of her damage and reaction triggers come from, so max it first. Her Elemental Burst comes next, dealing AoE Cryo damage, re-summoning the double, and applying a buff that raises her reaction output. Leave her Normal Attack low, since she rarely swings her sword on-field and leveling it does almost nothing for her total damage.

Best team comps for Odette

Odette needs an Electro or Anemo partner on the team to actually set off her Stellar reactions. Electro pairs with her Cryo for Stellar-Conduct, and Anemo enables Stellar Swirl. Because she has no healing or shielding of her own, most Stellar teams still want a sustain unit in the fourth slot.

Odette + Cyno + Yae Miko + AlyoshaElectro-driven Stellar-Conduct
Odette + Mizuki + Qiqi + SucroseStellar Swirl with sustain
Odette + Fischl + Beidou + Cryo TravelerAccessible Cryo/Electro option

Only a handful of DPS characters currently make full use of her Stellar damage buffs, since those buffs raise direct Stellar damage rather than the base reaction. As Snezhnaya rolls out more characters, more team shells will open up for her.

Put together, Odette is an easy character to gear once you accept her main goal is stacking ATK and Crit while feeding Stellar reactions from off-field. Slot her Heart of the Furnace set, a Crit-focused sword, and a reliable Electro or Anemo enabler, and she immediately upgrades a team’s reactions into their stronger Stellar versions.
