Mistfall Hunter shipped Season 1 “Soul Hunt” alongside its July 30 launch, and Bellring Games has since laid out how the rest of that season rolls out. The plan splits into three phases running through fall 2026, followed by a Season 2 that adds a brand-new weapon type for the Blackarrow. Here is exactly what lands, and when.
Quick answer: Season 1 runs in three phases. The Soul Harvest event goes live August 14, 2026; Phase 2 (Brandrgarde Solo Mode and the Underlord Speed Challenge) arrives in September 2026; Phase 3 (Golden Woodling and the Ancestor Tree event) is set for October 2026 or later. Season 2, headlined by the Blackarrow Javelin, has no confirmed date yet.

Season 1 timeline and dates
The season is built to keep players returning, with content spread across three staggered drops. Use the table below to track what unlocks in each window.
| Date | Drop | Main additions |
|---|---|---|
| August 6, 2026 | Phase 1 client update | Einherjar Mist Lord challenges, increased Dried Flower Knot drops, stability and balance fixes |
| August 14, 2026 | Soul Harvest event | Season-wide event across every map and difficulty tier, plus Season Tasks |
| September 2026 | Season 1 Phase 2 | Brandrgarde Solo Mode, more story quests, Underlord Speed Challenge |
| October 2026 or later | Season 1 Phase 3 | Golden Woodling monster, Ancestor Tree match event, Season 2 teaser tasks |
What’s live: Einherjar Mist Lords
The August 6 update opened the Einherjar difficulty, a harder tier for Mist Lord fights. To summon these tougher bosses, you offer Dried Flower Knots at the Mist Lord Altars near a boss. That same update raised Dried Flower Knot drop rates, so the material is easier to stockpile.
Beating an Einherjar Mist Lord carries a higher chance to drop Holy Weapons or Holy Forging Materials, which is the main reason to run the harder version. The Mist Lord Challenge covers one boss in Hallowgrove and two bosses on Brandrgarde. The build also shipped class balance changes for the Blackarrow, Withered Knight, Mercenary, and Sorcerer, along with a large batch of bug fixes.
Soul Harvest event (August 14)
Soul Harvest is Season 1’s themed event, going live August 14, 2026 across every map and difficulty tier. It is a dynamic activity you can trigger in Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde. The loop is straightforward. You gather Soul Cocoons, take on the Soulgnawer elite, and extract to keep your rewards.
Completed runs feed the Soul Harvest Exchange Shop, which trades in exclusive collectibles, Soul Coins, and Moonlight Nectar. Season Tasks also open alongside the event. The early tasks set up a story thread about a mysterious guest arriving at Windrest, whose news pushes Gyldhunters toward an unknown fate.
Season 1 Phase 2: Brandrgarde Solo Mode
Phase 2 is targeted for September 2026. Its headline addition is a Solo Mode for Brandrgarde, giving you a dedicated way to take on the fortress alone rather than queuing into a group. This mode is being introduced on a test basis first, with Bellring watching performance and player response before deciding how far to expand it.
Phase 2 also fully unlocks the Season Tasks, pushing the story deeper as a new crisis surfaces. Finishing those tasks pays out cosmetics, including S1 Pip’s Rare Pouch and the Nether Ferry boat skin. Rounding out the phase is the Underlord Speed Challenge, a time trial to defeat Underlords as fast as possible, with bonus rewards handed out by Fern the Woodling.
Season 1 Phase 3: Golden Woodling and Ancestor Tree
Phase 3 is slated for October 2026 or later. It introduces the Golden Woodling, a rare creature that disguises itself as treasure. Its golden glow is the bait, so approaching it carries risk.
The Ancestor Tree arrives as a random match event. Break the tree’s seal first to claim gifts from the ancient spirits, but expect rival Gyldhunters to fight you for the same prize. Phase 3 also seeds pre-Season 2 tasks that hand out early rewards and drop clues about what comes next.
Season 2: the Blackarrow Javelin and new progression
Season 2 does not have a release date. What Bellring has confirmed is the direction. The centerpiece is the Javelin, a new weapon archetype for the Blackarrow that shares some skills with the Bow. It is expected to help close the Blackarrow’s weakness at close range, letting the class melee out of danger and follow up with ranged fire, though the finer details are still unannounced.
Beyond the weapon, Season 2 brings a new theme, exclusive gameplay, expanded story quests, and a seasonal-themed battle pass. There is also an all-new season-exclusive progression system layered on top of the existing Gyldhunter levels. Additional seasonal content will be revealed gradually through official channels such as Twitch and Discord.
| Season 2 addition | Status |

| New season theme and exclusive gameplay | Confirmed, no date |
| Season-exclusive progression system | Confirmed, no date |
| Seasonal-themed battle pass | Confirmed, no date |

Performance, anti-cheat, and Duo Mode
Alongside the content drops, the team is investigating the stuttering and latency issues reported since recent patches, and plans to deploy fixes during later Season 1 stages without taking servers down. Because in-stage environments are complex, the developers have cautioned that a single fix for every lag case may not be possible.
Bellring is also enforcing disciplinary action against players who use cheat engines, third-party software, or engage in illegal teaming and stream sniping, with a Block feature added to the tools available in game. One frequently requested feature is still missing. There is no true Duo Mode yet, and queuing as a duo in Trio Mode leaves you a player short. Expect regular balance passes and performance work to continue landing between the roadmap’s dated drops.
