Vesna in Genshin Impact: Leaked Talents, Passives, and Constellations

A full breakdown of Vesna's Anemo sword abilities, Stellar Swirl passives, and every Constellation upgrade from C1 to C6.

A full breakdown of Vesna’s Anemo sword abilities, Stellar Swirl passives, and every Constellation upgrade from C1 to C6.

Vesna is a 5-star Anemo sword character built around one job: turning the whole party’s Cryo Swirl into Stellar Swirl and then hitting hard with it. She fights on the field, flies around the overworld, and stacks a mid-combat sword mechanic that keeps upgrading her attacks the longer she stays in her enhanced state. She arrives in Version 7.1 during Phase 1 as a limited Banner character, and she is set to return in later versions.

Quick answer: Cast The Art of Victory to enter Armed for Action, spend Sword Essence on Windborne Sword to escalate its level, and let Radiance: Stellar Swirl convert your Spirit Blade hits into direct Stellar Swirl reaction damage.

Vesna’s element, weapon, and role

She plays as an on-field Stellar Swirl main DPS whose damage scales with ATK, and her Ascension stat is CRIT Rate, reaching 19.2% at Level 90. The core loop runs through her Elemental Skill and Burst, with Normal Attacks as a low priority since her Skill infuses them with Anemo anyway.

Vila Blade Dance lets her land as many as six Normal Attack hits in succession. Holding the attack button consumes Stamina to make her charge through foes ahead, while her Plunging Attack impacts the ground with AoE damage and injures targets during the descent.

The Art of Victory and the Armed for Action state

Vesna’s Elemental Skill, The Art of Victory, is the entire engine of her kit. Casting it calls forth a Spirit Blade for AoE Anemo damage, switches her into the Armed for Action mode, and gives her two stacks of Sword Essence. The Skill has an 18-second cooldown.

During Armed for Action, her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks deal Anemo damage, and no other infusion can replace it. Each strike also calls in a wind pinion that attacks at the same time, adding Anemo damage and restoring some Sword Essence. That resource can be used for her unique Elemental Skill, Windborne Sword.

Within one Armed for Action activation, each Windborne Sword cast advances its level: it starts at Level 1 and can reach Level 3, with higher levels dealing more Anemo damage. Level 2 and Level 3 casts additionally call forth a Spirit Blade for separate Anemo damage. Armed for Action finishes when its timer expires or after Windborne Sword has been launched at Level 3 three times; any unspent Sword Essence disappears when she leaves the mode. She also has greater interruption resistance during it.

The payoff comes from Radiance: Stellar Swirl. When Vesna is in that state, the damage from her Spirit Blades becomes Anemo damage that also counts as Stellar Swirl reaction damage, which is where the bulk of her numbers land.

For the Tsaritsa! Elemental Burst

Her Elemental Burst, For the Tsaritsa!, summons multiple Spirit Blades for AoE Anemo damage and hands her another stack of Sword Essence. It has a 15-second cooldown and costs 60 Energy. Under Radiance: Stellar Swirl, the Spirit Blades convert into Stellar Spirit Blades and deal Stellar Swirl reaction damage instead. Because it refunds Sword Essence, the Burst slots neatly into the middle of a Windborne Sword combo rather than at the start or end.

Stellar Swirl conversion and Ascension passives

Vesna’s passives do two things at once. They make her party’s Cryo Swirl usable as Stellar Swirl, and they push you toward stacking Cryo and Anemo teammates.

Stellar Jubilee: Splendid Prelude

A Cryo Swirl caused by any party member changes into Stellar Swirl. Vesna’s ATK boosts the party’s base Stellar Swirl damage by 0.7% per 100 ATK, up to 14%; reaching that ceiling calls for about 2,000 ATK. If a party member triggers Stellar Swirl nearby, Vesna receives Radiance: Stellar Swirl for eight seconds.

Rite of Spring’s Procession

Using Windborne Sword or her Burst gives Vesna one Disciplinary Action stack for 20 seconds. She can accumulate six stacks, and every stack tracks its duration separately. As long as at least one stack remains, her Spirit Blades deal (100% + 10% × stack count) of their original damage. The Art of Victory, or Vesna leaving the field, removes all stacks.

Truth Prevails

With Radiance: Stellar Swirl active, Vesna determines the elemental makeup of her party. A Cryo or Anemo member gives her 6% ATK, whereas a member with any other element supplies 25 Elemental Mastery. Consequently, her best teams generally prioritize Cryo and Anemo enablers.

Coursing flight and Snezhnaya traversal

The Grand Circuit is her exploration passive. Holding Sprint or Jump while out of combat drops her into the Coursing state, where she hovers in mid-air and continuously drains Stamina. Sprinting or tapping Jump gains height for extra Stamina, and counting the entry leap she can rise up to three times per Coursing session.

There is also a region-specific shortcut. In Snezhnaya, excluding Nod-Krai, swapping Vesna in while your active character is airborne and out of combat drops her straight into Coursing and restores 50 Stamina. This triggers once every 10 seconds.

The Snezhnaya swap-in effect does not work in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.

Vesna’s Constellations from C1 to C6

Duplicate Vesna pulls provide Stella Fortuna, unlocking her Constellations one by one. These upgrades improve Windborne Sword uptime, enhance Disciplinary Action scaling, and raise Stellar Swirl damage.

C1, Winter’s Farewell Feast is the standout early stop. The extra top-level Windborne Sword and the free first cast add a real chunk of damage without demanding deep investment, which makes it a comfortable target for players who do not want to chase higher Constellations.

C2, Kolo of Spring’s Arrival removes her ramp-up entirely by front-loading maximum Disciplinary Action stacks the moment she enters Armed for Action, on top of a 40% ATK boost at max stacks. C3 and C5 are straight talent-level bumps for her Skill and Burst.

C6, Unwavering Ardor unlocks Windborne Sword: Transpose. For five seconds after a max-level Windborne Sword, tapping Normal Attack or the Skill deals Anemo damage at 150% of her ATK and summons a Spirit Blade for an extra 200% of her ATK. If she is in Armed for Action, she also summons a wind pinion for Coordinated Attacks, and her Stellar Swirl reaction damage rises by another 20%.

Put together, Vesna wants a lineup of Cryo and Anemo teammates who keep her Radiance: Stellar Swirl state alive so her Spirit Blades keep landing as reaction damage. Enter Armed for Action, cycle Windborne Sword up to its highest level, drop the Burst in the middle for a free Sword Essence stack, and you have her core rotation from C0 straight through to C6.
