Snipers Vs Runners is an asymmetrical survival game on Roblox that splits every match into two sides with opposite goals. A single player takes the Sniper role and tries to pick off everyone else, while the rest sprint across an obstacle course toward the Finish line. Each match supports up to 12 players, and the balance between one deadly marksman and a crowd of runners is what drives the whole loop.
Quick answer: One player is chosen at random as the Sniper; everyone else becomes a Runner. The Runners win if any single one of them reaches the Finish line without being shot or falling off the edge. The Sniper wins only by eliminating every Runner before that happens.
How a Snipers Vs Runners match works
At the start of a round, roles are assigned automatically. One person becomes the Sniper and the rest are Runners. The Sniper cannot fire freely because each shot needs a couple of seconds to reload, so rapid-fire elimination is impossible. That delay forces the Sniper to time shots carefully and gives Runners a window to move.
The reward each side earns depends on how the match plays out. Runners are paid based on survival time, and the payout is shared across the whole team if the round is won. The Sniper is paid per elimination, with an extra bonus for wiping out every Runner.
| Side | Win condition | Cash reward |
|---|---|---|
| Runners | Any Runner reaches the Finish line | Cash equal to the number of seconds survived; all Runners are paid on a win |
| Sniper | Eliminate all Runners before one finishes | Cash per elimination, plus a bonus for taking down every Runner |
Controls for keyboard and mouse
Movement and jumping are shared by both roles. Aiming and firing only apply when you are the Sniper. Going prone is the key defensive input for Runners near cover.
| Action | Input |
|---|---|
| Movement | W, S, A, D |
| Jump | Spacebar |
| Go Prone | C |
| Use Skill | E |
| Aim (Sniper) | Mouse |
| Fire (Sniper) | Left Mouse Button |
Winning as a Runner
Your biggest advantage is that you are not alone. The Sniper can only track one target at a time, so watch the laser sight and move only while it is pointed at someone else. When the laser is on another player, that is your safest moment to cross an exposed gap.
Stay unpredictable. Change direction, mix short pauses with sudden bursts of speed, and avoid running in a straight line across open ground. Jump only when it actually clears terrain or breaks an aimed shot, not for the sake of it.
Whenever you are near cover, go prone. Dropping flat lowers your profile so the Sniper is less likely to clip part of your model and eliminate you. Treat safe sections as checkpoints, spot the next dangerous crossing, then commit quickly once you pick a route.
Winning as the Sniper
Early eliminations are the easy part. Someone almost always sprints into the open carelessly at the start, so pick off those targets first while the field is crowded.
Once the numbers thin out, slow down and read the course. Keep your reticle relatively still to lull the remaining Runners into a false sense of security, then reposition the laser and fire the moment they choose to move. Track a target for a beat before shooting rather than reacting to first sight.
Prioritize the Runners who have progressed furthest, since a player near the Finish line is a more immediate threat than one still near the start. Because every shot takes a couple of seconds to reload, choose targets deliberately and avoid tunnel vision on one hard-to-hit Runner.
Skills, Cases, and cosmetic effects
Cash is the game’s core currency, and you spend it to expand what you can do and how your gear looks. Skills are active and passive abilities you unlock with Cash. As a Runner, they raise your odds of survival through stat boosts or items that misdirect the Sniper, and using them well is central to reaching the Finish line consistently.
Cash also buys Cases, which grant weapon skins. These change how your weapon looks without affecting how it performs. Cosmetic effects can carry a steep price, so weigh them against upgrades that directly improve your preferred role first.

Game modes
There are currently two modes. The Main Game runs the classic loop of Sniper against Runners, and you can pick a server from the Modes menu. An AFK mode lets you earn extra Cash over time without playing actively. A third mode is planned as the game expands with future updates, but no confirmed date for it is available yet.

Active codes for free Cash and Cases
Codes hand out Cash and free Cases, which speeds up unlocking Skills and cosmetics. The FFA code only works when redeemed inside the Free For All mode, so switch to that mode before entering it.
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| UPDATE3 | 5,000 Cash |
| TRADING | 2,500 Cash |
| UPDATE2 | 5,000 Cash |
| UPDATE1 | 5,000 Cash |
| RELEASE | 1,000 Cash |
| FFA | 5,000 Cash and 5 Basic Melee Cases (Free For All mode only) |
If a code fails, check the spelling first, since even a small typo will stop it from working. Remember that FFA must be entered while you are in the Free For All mode, or it will be rejected.
Snipers Vs Runners is free to play, so you can jump into either role without spending anything, then reinvest earned Cash into Skills, Cases, and cosmetic effects at your own pace. Whether you climb the course as a Runner or hold the field as the Sniper, the same rule decides every match. If one Runner touches the Finish line, the whole team wins; if the Sniper clears the field first, the round belongs to them.
