PEAK: How to Unlock the Archery Badge by Removing 10 Arrows

Reach The Citadel, trigger the arrow traps, and pull ten arrows out of yourself in one run.

Reach The Citadel, trigger the arrow traps, and pull ten arrows out of yourself in one run.

The Archery Badge in PEAK rewards you for doing the opposite of dodging. Instead of avoiding the arrow traps in The Citadel, you need to walk into them, take the hits, and then pull the arrows back out of your own body. Do that ten times in a single climb and the badge is yours.

Quick answer: In The Citadel biome, walk into the arrow traps to get shot, then remove each arrow from your body. Repeat until you have removed 10 arrows during the same expedition to unlock the Archery Badge.

Archery Badge requirements

The badge arrived with the Gloom and The Citadel content, part of The Final Ascent update. Completing it grants a unique cosmetic. There is only one condition to satisfy, but the wording matters.

DetailRequirement
ObjectiveRemove 10 arrows from yourself
TimingAll 10 in a single expedition
LocationTHE CITADEL biome
RewardA unique cosmetic

The count does not carry over between runs. If you die or escape before reaching ten, your progress resets and you start again from zero on the next attempt.

Get to The Citadel through the Gloom

The arrow traps only exist in The Citadel, a medieval-styled biome that sits past the Gloom. You cannot reach it without crossing the fog first, so plan the climb with that leg in mind.

The Gloom is passable on foot. Moving through it builds up a little sleep effect, but that fades once you climb back into the open. While you are down there, you can light five Belltowers in the fog to knock out the Bellringer Badge on the same trip. Watch for frogs and sharp spikes on the way up and out.

Pack healing before you start

You are going to take damage on purpose, over and over. Bring Medkits and Bandages so you can top yourself back up between arrows. The Citadel campfire is your other lifeline, so treat it as a base to return to.

Note: getting shot several times back to back will knock you out. Space out the hits and heal regularly rather than standing in a trap and soaking every arrow at once.

Trigger the arrow traps and remove 10 arrows

There are three arrow-based traps in the area, and each one can shoot you up to three times. The ground floor of The Citadel is packed with additional arrow traps if you need more shots.

Reach the campfire inside The Citadel and head into the first room on your right. The first arrow trap is here.
Walk into the blue beam tripwire so the trap fires an arrow into your head. A head shot is the goal here, because an arrow lodged in your head is easy to pull out on your own.
Remove the arrow from your body using the on-screen prompt. If an arrow instead sticks into a limb, you will need another player to help pull it out.

Return to the campfire to recover the health you lost, then step back into a trap and repeat. Keep going until you have removed 10 arrows in this run.

Confirm the badge unlocked

The Archery Badge pops the moment your tenth arrow removal registers in the same expedition. If it does not trigger, the usual cause is a reset count from dying, being knocked out, or ending the run before hitting ten. Stay alive, keep healing, and finish all ten in one climb.
