Save the World became free-to-play on April 16, 2026, opening the mode up to anyone with a Fortnite account instead of requiring a paid founder’s pack. Players who already owned the mode before that switch received in-game rewards as a thank-you for their earlier purchase.
Alongside that shift, Epic removed the daily login goodies that used to reward players just for logging in. That change doesn’t rule out a future code system, but it does mean the mode currently offers fewer built-in freebies than it once did.
