The Zero Point Sprite in Fortnite is tied to the Sprite Spree Quests, a collection challenge that rewards you for pulling sprites out of matches and banking them at extraction points. There are two payouts in the same chain, and both come down to a running extraction counter rather than luck.

Quick answer: Extract a total of 20 sprites to unlock the standard Zero Point Sprite, then reach 30 total extractions to unlock the Gem Zero Point Sprite. Your extraction count carries over between matches, so you do not need to finish it in one game.

Sprite Spree Quest requirements

Open the Sprite Spree Quests tab from the lobby menu to see your progress. The two rewards sit on the same extraction meter, so hitting 30 total also clears the 20 milestone along the way.

Because the counter is cumulative and persists across matches, you can chip away at it a few extractions at a time instead of forcing a single big run.

Where to find sprites in a match

Sprites drop from several sources during a match, and grabbing them from more than one keeps your inventory full between extraction trips.

  • Standard chests scattered across the map.
  • Dedicated Sprite Chests, including ones on rooftops.
  • Defeated opponents, who drop any sprites they were carrying.
  • The Cube Boss, “Voyager Unleashed,” which is guaranteed to drop a sprite when defeated, along with a mythic weapon.

You will pick up common variants such as Earth, Air, Water, and Fire sprites this way, and any of them count toward your extraction total.

How to extract sprites and raise your count

Collecting sprites is only half of it. They stay in your inventory until you actually extract them, and only extracted sprites move the Sprite Spree meter.

Carry the sprites you find in your inventory and head to an Extraction Site. These are marked on the map with a large icon and a beam of light pointing down to the spot.

Activate the console at the site to summon an extraction crate. Be ready for a fight, since triggering it alerts nearby enemies to your location.
Once the crate lands, place your sprites inside to bank them. Each secured sprite adds to your cumulative total, so a full inventory means a bigger jump per trip.
If you would rather not call the whole lobby to one spot, use a Portable Extractor to bank sprites on the move. Winning the match also works, since a Victory Royale automatically extracts every sprite you are still holding.

Tip: Prioritize inventory space for sprites over spare weapons and healing items. Filling slots with sprites before each extraction run is the fastest way to reach 20 and then 30.

How to confirm the unlock

When your extraction total hits 20, a “Quest Complete” screen appears for the Zero Point Sprite. Keep extracting into the next match, and the same confirmation screen pops for the Gem Zero Point Sprite once you reach 30 total. If nothing updates, the most common reason is that you left a match holding sprites without banking them, since unextracted sprites do not count.

From there, both variants sit in your collection permanently, and the grind resets to zero pressure since the reward is guaranteed by the counter rather than a random drop.
