The Sinking City 2: All Weapon Locations (Every Chapter)

Track down the Equalizer Mk. II, Field Surgeon, Minuteman, and Black Reef Longshot as you push through flooded Arkham.

Track down the Equalizer Mk. II, Field Surgeon, Minuteman, and Black Reef Longshot as you push through flooded Arkham.

There are five weapons to collect across The Sinking City 2, and only one of them is handed to you automatically. The other four are tucked behind locked doors, boarded-up rooms, and side detours you can walk right past. Because the game has no chapter select, missing one means starting a fresh run to grab it, so it pays to know exactly where each firearm sits before you leave an area for good.

Quick answer: You start with the Equalizer Mk. II pistol. Find the Field Surgeon shotgun and The Minuteman tommy gun in Chapter 2, and the Black Reef Longshot rifle in Chapter 3. The Linguist’s Folly grenade launcher rounds out the set as the final weapon you pick up.

All five weapons and where they are

Four of the five weapons have their own trophy attached, so grabbing each one gives you an on-screen confirmation as well as a new tool for combat.

Equalizer Mk. II pistol (starting weapon)

The Equalizer Mk. II is already in your inventory when the game begins, so there is nothing to hunt down. Open your inventory screen at any point in Chapter 1 and you will see it listed as your default sidearm. It stays useful well into the mid-game, so keep it fed with ammo rather than relying on it for every fight.

Field Surgeon shotgun (Chapter 2)

The Field Surgeon shows up in Chapter 2, The Wake-Up Call, inside the saloon. It sits on a wall rack behind a boarded-up wooden door, so you need to break through before you can reach it.

Enter the saloon and head to the safe room. Go through the brown door leading off it to reach the display area.
Break through the wooden door blocking your path, then take the shotgun off the wall rack. It appears in your inventory as the Field Surgeon.

The Minuteman tommy gun (Chapter 2)

Also in Chapter 2, The Minuteman waits in the Generator Room. Step inside and look for the weapon resting on a table. Picking it up unlocks the Fast Friends trophy, which confirms you grabbed it correctly.

Tip: The Minuteman is a rapid-fire option that helps when several enemies close in at once, so it pairs well with the shotgun you collect in the same chapter.

Black Reef Longshot rifle (Chapter 3)

The Black Reef Longshot is found in Chapter 3, A Sight For Sore Eyes, in the room just south of the Prosthetics Workshop. The door to that room uses a face lock, so you need the right key item to open it.

Make your way to the room south of the Prosthetics Workshop and locate the face lock door.
Use the Old Man’s Face Mask on the face lock to open the door, then enter and collect the rifle inside.

Linguist’s Folly grenade launcher

The Linguist’s Folly is the grenade launcher that completes your arsenal. It is the last of the five weapons you pick up, so keep exploring thoroughly as you move deeper into the campaign to secure it.

How to confirm you got them and avoid missing one

Each weapon lands in your inventory the moment you pick it up, and four of the five also pop a trophy, so you have a clear signal that the pickup registered. If a trophy does not appear, check your inventory to make sure the weapon is actually there before moving on.

Every weapon is missable, and the game does not let you revisit a chapter once you finish it. You can freely backtrack within the chapter you are currently in, so before you trigger the transition to the next one, sweep the map and confirm you have not left a firearm behind. A new game plus run does not carry your weapons over, meaning anything you skip has to be collected again from scratch.
