San Diego Border Roleplay runs on a fixed release rhythm, and the San Diego Border Community group has already dated the next drop on the game’s Roblox event listing. The developers created the entry shortly after the Boat Smuggling build went live, which is why the timing is locked in even though the contents are not.
Quick answer: The next update goes live on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM UTC (10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET). You will know it landed when the bracket tag on the Roblox title changes from [🌊].
Release time: Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM UTC

Why the schedule is predictable: biweekly Saturdays at 17:00 UTC
The experience description states the policy plainly, describing the game as live development with biweekly updates shaped by player feedback. In practice that means a content push every second Saturday at 17:00 UTC, which is the same slot Bikes used on August 1 and Boat Smuggling used on August 15.
The release history shows how the cadence tightened after launch.

How to tell the update has gone live
The developers put an emoji or short label in brackets at the front of the Roblox title, and they swap it with each content drop. The live build is tagged [🌊] for Boat Smuggling, following [BIKES] and a [2X🏦] promo banner before that. When the bracket changes, the new build is out.
To check on release day, open the San Diego Border Roleplay experience page and look at the title and the pinned event listing. If you were already in a server when the update shipped, rejoin — running servers stay on the old build until they cycle.

Tip: The bracket tag doubles as a freshness check on any page you read about the game. Anything still labelled [BIKES] or [2X🏦] predates August 15 and knows nothing about boats or the Coast Guard.
Codes usually arrive with the update, not between drops
New codes are handed out around content pushes, so August 29 is the realistic window for the next batch rather than the quiet weeks in between. The redeem panel is not in Settings, which trips up plenty of players.
What the August 29 update might add
Nothing has been announced for the contents. The pattern from recent drops points toward the kinds of additions the team tends to ship: new vehicles or weapons, extra shops, an expanded slice of the map, or fresh mechanics layered onto existing teams. Boat Smuggling followed that shape by adding a free Coast Guard team, three boats and dock missions on top of the coastline that the Beach Houses update opened up in July.
Until the event listing is filled in, treat any specific feature claim as unconfirmed. The land loop is unchanged in the meantime — Border Patrol and Police draw a salary of roughly $1,913 plus XP for scanning, detaining and arresting, while Civilian smugglers buy a $150 avocado crate and sell it for about $390 once it clears the scanner.
If the biweekly pattern holds after August 29, the following drop would fall two Saturdays later at the same 17:00 UTC slot, though the developers have not posted a listing for it yet. Set a reminder for the 29th, rejoin a fresh server once the bracket tag flips, and check the Rewards panel before you start a run.
