Cursed Mode does not care what you packed. A randomized Elite can be a Zursa, a Web Mother, or a Shock Mimic, and only the matching Ammo Mod on your gun hits the extra-damage bonus.
Quick answer: Equip the Ammo Mod listed for that enemy. Extra damage is landing when the matching elemental icon appears beside your hit numbers.
Ammo Mods and extra damage
Ammo Mods are sold at Arsenal Machines for 500 Salvage. Each one adds an elemental effect to your bullets. Regular zombies, armored zombies, and heavy zombies have no listed elemental weakness, so the bonus is reserved for Special and Elite threats.
Named enemies often share a weakness with another type on a different map. A few take extra damage from two mods at once. If the icon never appears, you are dealing normal Ammo Mod damage and should swap at the next Arsenal.

Napalm Burst
Napalm Burst is the fire mod. It is the clean answer for Frost Zombies and one of two correct picks for Zursa, Abomination, and Uber Klaus.

| Enemy | Maps |
|---|---|
| Abomination | Kowakujo |
| Frost Zombie | Totenreich, Eidskallen Lighthouse |
| Uber Klaus | Ashes of the Damned, Mars |
| Zursa | Ashes of the Damned, Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Ashwood, Totenreich |
Cryo Freeze
Cryo Freeze is the frost mod. Use it on Hellhounds and Scorched Zombies on Kowakujo, and keep it ready for Uber Klaus. A Klaus Core, whether it splits off Uber Klaus or shows up on its own, is weak to Cryo Freeze only. The red Elite Mimic that appears in relic trials is also weak to Cryo Freeze, which is not true of a normal Shock Mimic.

| Enemy | Maps |
|---|---|
| Hellhound | Kowakujo |
| Klaus Core | Ashes of the Damned and relic encounters |
| Red Elite Mimic | Relic trials |
| Scorched Zombie | Kowakujo |
| Uber Klaus | Ashes of the Damned, Mars |
Dead Wire
Dead Wire is the electric mod. It is the single listed weakness for Necropincers and Deathspinners, and one of two correct mods for an Amalgam.
| Enemy | Maps |
|---|---|
| Amalgam | Totenreich |
| Deathspinner | Rex Infernus |
| Necropincer | Totenreich, Eidskallen Lighthouse |
Shadow Rift
Shadow Rift is the shadow mod. It covers Oni, Rad-Hounds, and Toxic Zombies on its own. It also pairs with Dead Wire against Amalgams and with Light Mend against a Web Mother.
| Enemy | Maps |
|---|---|
| Amalgam | Totenreich |
| Oni | Kowakujo |
| Rad-Hound | Paradox Junction, Nuked |
| Toxic Zombie | Paradox Junction, Nuked |
| Web Mother | Rex Infernus |
Brain Rot
Brain Rot is the toxic mod. It shares Zursa and Abomination with Napalm Burst, and it is the listed weakness for Shock Mimics. The drones that accompany O.S.C.A.R. also take extra Brain Rot damage. O.S.C.A.R. itself does not.

| Enemy | Maps |
|---|---|
| Abomination | Kowakujo |
| Shock Mimic | Paradox Junction |
| Zursa | Ashes of the Damned, Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Ashwood, Totenreich |
Light Mend
Light Mend is the listed weakness for Doppelghasts, Ravagers, and Shadow Souls. A Web Mother also takes extra Light Mend damage on top of Shadow Rift.
| Enemy | Maps |
|---|---|
| Doppelghast | Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Ashwood, Paradox Junction |
| Ravager | Ashes of the Damned, Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Astra Malorum, Maars, Totenreich |
| Shadow Soul | Rex Infernus |
| Web Mother | Rex Infernus |
Enemies with no elemental weakness
Veytharion, Caltheris, Dark Heart, and Drakavar do not take extra damage from a matching Ammo Mod. Shatter Blast can help strip armor on Caltheris. Shatter Blast also strips armor on heavy armored zombies, which otherwise have no elemental weakness.
O.S.C.A.R. has no elemental weakness and no clear body weak point. Put Brain Rot on the drones around it, not on the elite itself.

Full enemy weakness list
Use this list when you need the enemy name first. Dual-mod rows mean either listed Ammo Mod triggers the bonus.
| Enemy | Elemental Weakness | Maps |
|---|---|---|
| Abomination | Napalm Burst, Brain Rot | Kowakujo |
| Amalgam | Dead Wire, Shadow Rift | Totenreich |
| Deathspinner | Dead Wire | Rex Infernus |
| Doppelghast | Light Mend | Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Ashwood, Paradox Junction |
| Frost Zombie | Napalm Burst | Totenreich, Eidskallen Lighthouse |
| Hellhound | Cryo Freeze | Kowakujo |
| Necropincer | Dead Wire | Totenreich, Eidskallen Lighthouse |
| Oni | Shadow Rift | Kowakujo |
| Rad-Hound | Shadow Rift | Paradox Junction, Nuked |
| Ravager | Light Mend | Ashes of the Damned, Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Astra Malorum, Maars, Totenreich |
| Scorched Zombie | Cryo Freeze | Kowakujo |
| Shadow Soul | Light Mend | Rex Infernus |
| Shock Mimic | Brain Rot | Paradox Junction |
| Toxic Zombie | Shadow Rift | Paradox Junction, Nuked |
| Uber Klaus | Cryo Freeze, Napalm Burst | Ashes of the Damned, Mars |
| Web Mother | Shadow Rift, Light Mend | Rex Infernus |
| Zursa | Napalm Burst, Brain Rot | Ashes of the Damned, Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Ashwood, Totenreich |
Relics that change which enemies spawn
Two relics make the list above mandatory instead of optional. The Dragon Egg Relic from Kowakujo randomizes Special and Elite enemies in Cursed Mode, so the next round may not match the map’s usual roster. Lawyer’s Pen, found on Ashes of the Damned, fills the map with Shock Mimics, which means Brain Rot is the mod you want on at least one gun.
| Relic | What changes | Mod to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon Egg Relic | Special and Elite enemies are randomized in Cursed Mode | The full list, swapped at Arsenal as needed |
| Lawyer’s Pen Relic | The map fills with Shock Mimics | Brain Rot |
When a relic scrambles the roster, change Ammo Mods at the next Arsenal rather than forcing a mismatched gun through the round. The elemental icon next to the damage number is the check that the swap worked.
