Potential Piece drops you onto a starter island at Level 1 with 1,000 Gold and no combat style equipped. The fastest safe route to real power runs through a single loop on that first island. You learn free combat, grind low-level enemies for gold, buy a Katana, then sail out to the marketplace where fruits are sold.
Quick answer: Talk to Bob for the free Combat book, farm Evil Villager [Lv. 1] enemies at 100 Gold each until you have 2,500 Gold, buy the Katana from Jame, then spawn a free boat to reach the marketplace island where Billy, Kizaru, and the Devil Fruit vendors sell fruits.
Get free combat from Bob first
You cannot fight effectively until you equip a combat style. The starter island gives you one for free, so this is always your first stop before anything else.

While you are here, set a spawn point so you respawn on the starter island instead of somewhere dangerous. Interact with the SetSpawnPoint prompt to lock it in.

Note: A premium sword called Yoru sits near the starter houses for 500 Robux, with a 10% discount for Roblox Premium members. You do not need it to progress, so skip it unless you want to spend Robux.

Add to Google Preferences →Farm Evil Villagers for gold and EXP
The Evil Villager [Lv. 1] enemies on the starter island are your income source. Each one you defeat pays out 100 Gold plus EXP, and they are weak enough for a fresh Level 1 character to handle with basic combat.

Keep clearing these villagers in a loop. A steady grind from a fresh start takes you from Level 1 to roughly Level 13 by the time you have saved 2,500 Gold, which is exactly the amount you need for your next upgrade.
Buy the Katana from Jame at 2,500 Gold
Jame stands on the starter island and sells a Katana for 2,500 Gold through the “Buy Katana” prompt. This is the single most worthwhile early purchase because the sword sharply raises your damage against the same Evil Villagers you were already fighting.
Once the Katana is equipped, the villagers go down far faster, which speeds up every gold and EXP run after this point. Save for it before spending anything else.
Spawn a free boat and sail to the marketplace
Travel between islands runs on boats, and the starter dock gives you one at no cost. This is how you reach the shops that sell fruits.

Where to get fruit on the marketplace island
The marketplace island is where fruits, devil fruits, and fishing gear are sold. Several vendors line the plaza, each dealing in a different currency.

| Vendor | Sells | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Billy | CrimsonFruit | 500 Gold |
| Kizaru | Permanent fruits | 50–5,000 Robux or 1–50 Tokens |
| Devil Fruit vendor | Devil Fruit | 10 Gems |
| Devil Fruit vendor | Devil Fruit | 10,000 Gold |
| Garp | Fishing Rod | 5,000 Gold |
The cheapest fruit purchase is Billy’s CrimsonFruit at 500 Gold, well within reach after a short grind. If you would rather roll a Devil Fruit, one vendor takes 10 Gems and another takes 10,000 Gold, so you can pay with whichever currency you have more of.
Kizaru’s permanent fruit prices
Kizaru sells permanent fruits paid for in Robux or Fruit Tokens. Prices climb with rarity, from the Spin Fruit at the low end to the Dragon Fruit at the top.
| Permanent fruit | Robux | Tokens |
|---|---|---|
| Spin | 50 | 1 |
| Suke | 75 | 1 |
| Bomb | 100 | 1 |
| Spike | 150 | 1 |
| Chop | 200 | 2 |
| Spring | 250 | 2 |
| Kilo | 300 | 3 |
| Smoke | 400 | 4 |
| Sand | 500 | 5 |
| Fire | 750 | 7 |
| Ice | 1000 | 10 |
| Light | 1500 | 15 |
| Dark | 1750 | 17 |
| Quake | 2000 | 20 |
| Buddha | 2500 | 25 |
| Phoenix | 3000 | 30 |
| Dough | 3500 | 35 |
| Venom | 4000 | 40 |
| Dragon | 5000 | 50 |
Take quests from the marketplace board
The marketplace island also holds a quest board. Interact with it and use the “Accept quest?” prompt to pick up a task for rewards.

High-level islands to avoid as a beginner
Two islands within early sailing range will kill a low-level character almost instantly. Do not land on them until you are far stronger than the Level 13 to 14 range you reach from the starter grind.
| Island | Threat | Danger |
|---|---|---|
| Desert Island | Level 110 villagers, Sand King boss in the castle | The Sand King nearly one-shots a Level 14 player |
| Monkey Island | Level 50 Monkey enemies in a dark forest | Too strong for early characters; kills you quickly |
Until your level and gear can handle those numbers, the efficient play is to keep farming Evil Villagers on the starter island. Build up gold there, upgrade your weapon, and only push toward the tougher islands once you can survive their enemies.
