Grand Theft Auto VI hands Jason and Lucia a huge open world in Leonida, and a big chunk of that world is built around things to do that have nothing to do with the main story. Racing, fishing, gym sessions, hunting, and a long list of smaller diversions have all turned up across previews and the Extended Look shown in August 2026. Everything below reflects what has been shown so far and remains subject to change before the full game arrives in November 2026.
Quick answer: Confirmed side activities include working out, fighting/MMA, fishing, hunting, pool, basketball, mini golf, kayaking, scuba diving, dirt-bike and street racing, base-jumping and sky-diving, jet-skiing, airboating, gambling, shooting ranges, and nightlife such as bars, clubs, and strip clubs.

Every confirmed GTA 6 side activity
The activities shown so far span sports, water sports, racing, nightlife, and quieter hobbies. Here is the full set grouped by type so you can see what each part of the map offers.
| Category | Activities |

| Racing and riding | Street racing, dirt-bike racing, arena racing in Daytona-like tracks, driving electric scooters |
| Water | Fishing, swimming, scuba diving, kayaking, jet-skiing, airboating |
| Aerial and thrill | Sky-diving, base-jumping |
| Outdoors | Hunting in Mount Kalaga National Park |
| Tabletop and casual | Pool, mini-golf, gambling, target practice at shooting ranges |
| Nightlife | Bars, nightclubs, strip clubs |
| Everyday and oddball | Petting, scolding, or studying dogs, feeding stray animals, doomscrolling social media, spying on neighbours and NPCs |

Returning pastimes from earlier GTA games
Several activities are pulled straight from series history. Pool and fistfighting were last seen in GTA IV, and both come back here. Basketball returns for the first time since GTA: San Andreas, with courts shown both in wide shots and at Jason’s home.
Working out is another San Andreas callback. Jason lifts weights on the beach and Lucia trains on a punching bag, and the gym system can be done alongside your partner. Fishing and hunting lean on the systems built for Red Dead Redemption 2, including tracking animals through wooded and wetland areas in Mount Kalaga National Park.
New activities added for Leonida
Two hobbies are new to the franchise. Mini-golf appears on colourful courses as a lower-stakes break from the usual chaos, and kayaking lets you drift along rivers and canals as a calm way to move through the map. Both fit the Florida-inspired setting and add slower-paced options next to the high-speed content.
Scuba diving rounds out the water-based additions, with divers exploring reefs, wrecks, and the underwater ecosystem. Jet-skiing and airboating cover the faster side of the water, while sky-diving and base-jumping handle the aerial thrills.

Nightlife and small-scale diversions
Bars, nightclubs, and strip clubs all appear, with Jason and Lucia shown partying under neon lighting and Jason tossing dollar bills at a dancer. Bars double as a home for tabletop play, with pool tables and other casual games in the mix.
Smaller touches fill out the world too. You can pet, scold, or study dogs, and the study option looks tied to a collection mechanic in the style of Red Dead Redemption 2. Feeding stray animals, doomscrolling in-game social media, driving Lime-style electric scooters, and spying on neighbours through binoculars are all part of the same layer of optional activity.

How side activities fit into the game
Side activities are not required to finish the main story, so you can play them at any point, including after the credits roll. They do count toward full completion of the game, which means anyone chasing 100% will need to work through the list at some stage.
Note: The full lineup shown so far comes from previews and the Extended Look. Some details, such as scoring systems, rewards, or exact locations, have not been fully detailed, and the list can grow or change before release. Expect more to be confirmed in the run-up to the November 2026 launch.
