Fortnite Crash Bandicoot Cup: How to Get the Skin for Free

Place inside your region's leaderboard bracket during the Crash Bandicoot Cup, or pay 1,800 V-Bucks in the Item Shop.

Place inside your region’s leaderboard bracket during the Crash Bandicoot Cup, or pay 1,800 V-Bucks in the Item Shop.

Crash Bandicoot landed in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 as part of the Gaming Legends lineup, sharing his launch day with a Spyro the Dragon Sidekick. There are two ways to add him to your Locker, and only one of them keeps your V-Bucks intact. The free path runs through a competitive tournament, while the paid path drops the full set into the Item Shop.

Quick answer: Finish inside your region’s placement bracket in the Override Series: Crash Bandicoot Cup to claim the Outfit and Bandicoot Wrap for free. If you miss the cutoff, buy the Crash Bandicoot skin for 1,800 V-Bucks or the full bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks in the Item Shop.

What you need before entering the Crash Bandicoot Cup

The Override Series: Crash Bandicoot Cup takes place on August 28, 2026, and splits into three separate playlists. Pick the one that matches your setup, because you can only earn rewards in the format you actually play.

  • Crash Bandicoot Reload Cup — Duos, standard building playlist.
  • Crash Bandicoot Zero Build Reload Cup — Duos, no building.
  • Crash Bandicoot Mobile Cup — Solos, mobile devices only.

Two entry conditions apply. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, and two-factor authentication has to be enabled on your Epic account. The tournament clock does not pause while you set up 2FA, so turn it on before your session starts.

Note: The main Battle Royale and Reload cups are Duos, so a solo player on console or PC needs a partner. Only the Mobile Cup lets you compete alone.

Regional placement cutoffs for the free skin

Rewards are counted region by region, not globally, so the finish you need depends entirely on where you play. Clear the Duos cutoff below and you unlock the Crash Bandicoot Outfit and the Bandicoot Wrap. Reaching 8 points also adds the Wumpa Collector Emote.

How the cup scoring works

You have a two-hour window to bank as many points as possible across your matches. Points come from two things: eliminations and how high you finish in each game. Eliminations pay out at 2 points each, capped at 10 kills per match, and placement adds a sliding scale on top.

To join, open the Compete tab from the Fortnite front end, find the Override Series: Crash Bandicoot Cup entry for your region, add a Duo partner if you are on the standard playlists, then play your matches. There are no codes for the skin; the tournament and the Item Shop are the only ways to get it.

Buying the Crash Bandicoot bundle from the Item Shop

If competitive play is not your thing, the collab set is sitting in the Item Shop, having arrived on August 28, 2026. The skin rotates out next month, so there is a limited window to grab it before it leaves.

Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop tab.
Scroll to the “Crash Bandicoot” section to find the bundle and the individual cosmetics.
Select the full bundle at 2,800 V-Bucks, or choose the separate items you want.
Press and hold the Purchase button to confirm. The cosmetics drop straight into your Locker.

You can also browse the listing on the official Fortnite Item Shop before you spend. Here is how the pricing breaks down.

ItemPrice (V-Bucks)
Crash Bandicoot Bundle (all cosmetics)2,800
Crash Bandicoot Skin1,800
Spyro Sidekick1,500
Crash’s Wumpa Mace Pickaxe800
Aku Aku Back Bling500
Bandicoot Wrap300
Wumpa Collector Emote300

Spyro the Dragon is sold as a separate Sidekick and is not folded into the Crash bundle, so budget the extra 1,500 V-Bucks if you want the matching pair. Low on currency? A V-Bucks card can top up your balance before the skin cycles out.

How to confirm the cosmetics unlocked

Item Shop purchases appear right away on the Items Acquired screen and are ready to equip from your Locker the moment the transaction finishes. Cup rewards work differently. Results have to be finalized before the Outfit lands on your account, so a strong finish will not show up the instant your last match ends. Check your Locker after the tournament standings are confirmed, and the Crash Bandicoot skin, Bandicoot Wrap, and any earned emote will be there.
