Dungeon Quest Reborn: How the Legendary Case Leave-and-Rejoin Trick Works

The crate reroll relies on quitting mid-spin so the 10,000 gold purchase never saves to your account.

Cosmetic crates in Dungeon Quest Reborn are a gold sink. A Legendary Case costs 10,000 gold and only lands a legendary item 15 percent of the time, which means most spins burn currency on a rare or epic skin you did not want. There is a timing quirk in how the game saves that purchase, and players have been using it to reroll the same crate over and over until a legendary drops.

Quick answer: Open a Legendary Case, watch the spinner, and if it is not going to stop on a legendary, quit the server before the spin finishes. When you rejoin, your gold is still there and the crate has not been consumed, so you can spin again.

Legendary Case cost and drop odds

The Crates tab in the in-game Shop sells three cases, all priced in gold. Only the Legendary Case is worth rerolling, since it is the one that lists a legendary chance on its odds panel.

RARE CASE5,000 gold
EPIC CASE7,500 gold
LEGENDARY CASE10,000 gold

The odds listed on the Legendary Case are weighted heavily toward the two lower tiers, so a straight spend of 10,000 gold is a bad deal on average.

How the crate reroll works

The whole thing hinges on one detail. The game does not write the crate purchase to your save file the moment you click Open. It writes it when the spin resolves. Leave the server before that happens and the transaction never lands, so you rejoin with your gold untouched.

From the lobby, open the Cosmetics menu and check what you already own across the Enchants, Weapons, Armors and Titles tabs. Knowing your starting inventory makes it obvious later whether a spin actually saved.

Open the Shop and switch to the Crates tab. You will see the Rare, Epic and Legendary cases listed side by side with their gold prices and the odds panel underneath.
Buy the Legendary Case for 10,000 gold and press the button to open it. The spinner starts scrolling through cosmetic rewards immediately.

Watch where the spinner is slowing down. If it is heading toward a rare or epic item rather than a legendary, quit the server right then. Press Escape and hit Leave on the confirmation prompt before the animation stops.
Rejoin from the Dungeon Quest Reborn experience page and load back into the lobby. Check your gold total before doing anything else.
Repeat the buy-and-spin loop, bailing on every non-legendary result, until the spinner clearly settles on a legendary. Let that one finish.

How to confirm it worked

There are two confirmations to look for. After a successful bail, your gold count in the lobby should be back at its pre-spin number, and the case should still be purchasable. If your gold dropped by 10,000, you were too slow and the spin saved.

On a spin you let finish, the game throws up an unlock banner naming the item, such as a “Cosmetic Armor Unlocked” message for a piece like Evil Beastmaster. The item then appears in the matching Cosmetics tab, ready to equip alongside anything else you own.

Why the reroll fails

Timing is the only real variable, and there is a short window to work with.

  • Leaving after the spinner has already locked in. The reward is committed at that point and the gold is gone.
  • Closing the crate window instead of quitting the server. Backing out of the menu does not stop the spin from resolving.
  • Hesitating on the leave prompt. The confirmation dialog needs a second click, so open it early rather than at the last frame.

Note: this depends entirely on when the game chooses to save, so a patch to the crate flow would end it without warning. Check your gold after the first attempt rather than assuming it still works.

What a legendary cosmetic actually changes

Nothing about your damage or health. Cosmetics in Dungeon Quest cover auras, enchants, weapon skins, armor appearances and titles, and they exist purely to override the look of your equipped gear. A legendary armor skin sitting on top of a starter weapon is still a starter weapon in a dungeon.

You can equip one cosmetic of each type at a time, which is why a legendary armor and a legendary weapon skin can be worn together. If a menu ever lists Damage, Spell Power or Health on an item, that is gear, not a cosmetic, and it belongs to a different system.

The practical takeaway is a budgeting one. Gold spent on crates is gold not spent on weapon and armor upgrades, and the reroll only matters if you already have a stable clear loop and are chasing looks. If you are still stuck on a difficulty tier, the 10,000 gold is worth more at the blacksmith than in the Crates tab.
