Blox Fruits Update 30: First Sea Rework and Release Date

What the Update 30 teaser showed of the reworked First Sea, plus where the release date stands.

Gamer Robot broke a long content drought on Sunday, August 23, 2026, when it dropped a teaser for Blox Fruits Update 30 with no real warning. The pitch is simple and enormous at the same time: the First Sea, the starting stretch of map that every player grinds through and most players complain about, is being rebuilt. The teaser also ended with a date card, which is where most of the confusion about this update comes from.

Quick answer: Update 30 is a First Sea rework. The teaser set a trailer date of August 29th, 2026, and that date has now passed. Gamer Robot has not confirmed a release date or time for the update itself, so treat any specific launch day you see as unofficial.

Blox Fruits Update 30 release date: what is and isn’t confirmed

The only hard date the teaser gave was for the trailer, shown on screen as “Trailer Release Date: August 29th, 2026.” That was a Saturday, and it has already come and gone. It was never a date for the update going live.

No release date or launch time for Update 30 has been announced. Patch notes have not been published either. Anything circulating with a precise day attached to it, including the popular guess of a launch roughly a week after the trailer, is community speculation rather than a developer statement.

For context on why the wait feels long: the last run of major content landed in August of the previous year, with the Update 27 series. Since then, Blox Fruits has gone without a headline content drop.

Everything shown in the Update 30 teaser

The teaser opens as an animation, pulling in from space onto the First Sea globe before touring the islands players know by heart. Speech bubbles carry actual community complaints about those islands, and developers King Red Head and rip_indra trade a handshake to kick off the update. Then it cuts to gameplay, and that footage is where the useful information lives.

Location or featureWhat the footage showed
Starter IslandRebuilt visuals for the opening area
Middle TownA new interior space containing a portal
Sword Dealer of the WestA redesigned purchase interface, shown while buying the Iron Mace
Water 7Revamped island, new movement mechanics, and a Parlius quest with dialogue options
Ship defenseA cannon encounter against ships closing in on the island
Snow IslandRolling snowballs to build snowmen as an activity
World mapA star-based completion UI, shown with Frozen Village marked as completed
Gorilla KingAn animated aura effect on the boss
Gravity FruitA brief glimpse of a giant transformation at the end of the teaser

Two things stand out in that list. The star-based map completion UI suggests progress tracking per island rather than a pure quest log, and the ship defense sequence plus the snowman activity point at set-piece content in a sea that has historically been nothing but kill-quest grinding.

New fruits in Update 30: Gravity, Magnet, and the Oni rumor

Gravity is the closest thing to a sure bet. Beyond the transformation shot in the teaser, developer bulletin board posts and leaked clips have shown a Gravity Fruit golem along with combat skills, M1 attacks, and area-of-effect stuns. The same bulletin material referenced Magma Village and additional new maps.

Magnet has also been named in leaks as a fruit tied to this update, though it has not appeared in official footage the way Gravity has.

Then there is the Jungle. Preview footage of the revamped Sea 1 Jungle contains a small dark object sitting under a tree, and slowed-down, zoomed-in clips of it have driven a wave of “new fruit leaked” posts. The leading guesses are an Oni fruit or a cosmetic skin. Nothing about that object has been confirmed, and it is small enough on screen that identification is guesswork.

Note: several videos circulating this leak footage promote Discord servers offering free permanent fruits. Those giveaways are not run by Gamer Robot.

How Update 30 follows the Update 27 series

The most recent major patches reworked existing fruits and pushed the level cap to 2,750. Update 30 is aiming somewhere different, at the map itself rather than at the power ceiling.

UpdateRelease dateMain content
26April 17Eagle and Creation renames, Gravity rework, Flame model change
27August 17Balance tweaks
27.1August 23Lightning, replacing Rumble; level cap to 2,750
27.2August 30Oni Realm

That Oni Realm entry is worth keeping in mind when reading the Jungle speculation. The name already exists in the game, which is part of why players jumped to an “Oni fruit” conclusion so quickly.

How to know when Update 30 is live

Roblox experiences push new versions through a server shutdown, so the reliable check is to rejoin Blox Fruits and look at the First Sea directly. If Starter Island and Middle Town still look the way they always have, the rework has not shipped to your server yet.

Until Gamer Robot posts a date, the safest read is that Update 30 is a First Sea overhaul with Gravity attached, and everything past that, including Magnet and whatever is sitting under that Jungle tree, is unconfirmed. The trailer was the last scheduled beat, and the patch notes are the next thing worth waiting for.
