The Magnet Fruit, a rebuilt First Sea, Island Secrets, a level 3000 cap, and the Summer Magnet Gacha, all confirmed.

The Magnet Fruit, a rebuilt First Sea, Island Secrets, a level 3000 cap, and the Summer Magnet Gacha, all confirmed.

Blox Fruits Update 30 has been fully revealed, and it is far bigger than a single fruit drop. The update adds the Magnet Fruit with a giant mech transformation, rebuilds every island in the First Sea, raises the level ceiling well past the old cap, and layers a new secrets-and-teleport system on top of the starting map. A Summer Magnet Gacha event and the long-awaited Dragon rework round it out.

Quick answer: Update 30 releases on September 5. It brings the Magnet Fruit (Scrap Arsenal, Magnetic Overcharge, Polarizing Drop, Maximum Overdrive), a full Sea 1 revamp, Island Secrets that push the level cap to 3000, island fast travel, the Summer Magnet Gacha, and a Dragon (East) rework that is rollable in the gacha.

Blox Fruits Update 30 release date

The update is scheduled for September 5. That date was confirmed on screen at the end of the reveal, one week after the trailer itself went live on August 29. No exact rollout time has been announced, so treat any specific hour circulating in trade servers as unconfirmed.

The earlier teaser that set up the reveal is worth watching for context on the map work, since much of the First Sea footage in it is final.

Sea 1 revamp: every island rebuilt

Every island in the First Sea has been redesigned from scratch. The trailer runs side-by-side comparisons of the old layouts against the new ones, and the difference is structural rather than cosmetic. Islands now have custom buildings, denser detail, and real interiors you can walk into, including the town hall at Middle Town.

The interface got the same treatment. The HUD has been redrawn, NPC dialogue is interactive rather than a wall of text, and shops are no longer guesswork. Weapon and boat dealers now show a rotating 3D preview of the item on the purchase screen, so you can inspect a sword or a boat model before spending money on it.

Island Secrets, level 3000, and fast travel

Each First Sea island hides three Island Secrets. These are not collectibles sitting in the open. They come in the form of puzzles, brawls, and awakened boss fights tucked into the new island geometry, and the game hints at them through environmental cues and NPC dialogue rather than a quest marker.

Clearing them does two things. First, it lets you break past the standard level cap, with footage showing progression running up to Level 3000. Second, finishing all three secrets on an island permanently unlocks that island as a fast-travel destination. A new interactive world map tracks how many secrets you have completed per island and doubles as the teleport menu.

Note: the teleport unlock is all-or-nothing per island. Two out of three secrets gets you progress on the map, but not the travel point.

Magnet Fruit passive: Magnetic Power

The Magnet Fruit builds power by collecting scrap during a fight. Scrap feeds a passive called Magnetic Power, which climbs through three stages and visibly enlarges the user’s arms as it fills. Higher stages lengthen your M1 combo string and increase your defense, so the fruit rewards staying in the fight instead of poking and retreating.

From Stage 2 onward, a second effect kicks in. Magnetic Pull automatically drags nearby enemies toward you without any input, which keeps targets inside your combo range and makes escaping the fruit’s pressure harder at higher stages.

Magnet Fruit base moveset and mastery levels

Every Magnet move behaves differently depending on whether you tap the key or hold it, which effectively doubles the kit. Mastery requirements are shown below alongside each move.

MoveTapHold
[Z] Scrap Arsenal (Mas. 1)Fires projectiles that pull targets toward youFires a continuous damaging beam
[X] Magnetic Overcharge (Mas. 100)Traps enemies inside a magnetic cageIncreases cage size and damage
[C] Polarizing Drop (Mas. 225)Slams a single grabbed targetPulls in and absorbs all nearby scrap
[F] Flight / GrabForcefully unequips an opponent’s swordActivates jetpack flight

The disarm on [F] is the standout utility. Knocking a sword out of an opponent’s hands mid-combo cuts off a large part of most sword-based kits, and the same key doubles as the fruit’s mobility option.

Maximum Overdrive: the Magnet mech transformation

[V] Maximum Overdrive unlocks at Mastery 300 and turns you into a towering magnetic mech. It is a tank form with clear trade-offs baked in. Defense is high and guns deal reduced damage against it, but lightning attacks deal increased damage, and the mech moves slowly in a way that will feel familiar to anyone who has used Buddha.

MoveEffect
[Z]Tap fires homing missiles; hold builds a giant shoulder cannon for one massive blast
[X] Magnetic RuinCreates a large magnetic vortex that traps and damages everything caught in it
[C]Tap slams scrap down; hold performs a high-damage helicopter spin grab with super armor
[F]Forcefully unequips the swords of every target in the area
[V]Ejects you from the mech, leaving it behind to pull enemies in and self-destruct

The de-transformation deserves attention because it is an attack rather than a cancel. Dropping out of the mech leaves a magnet on the field that gathers nearby players before it blows, so ending the form early is a deliberate play instead of a penalty.

Summer Magnet Gacha event and the Dragon rework

Update 30 launches alongside a Summer Magnet event. Special magnetic enemies spawn in the world, and defeating them drops Magnet Tokens. Those tokens are spent at the Summer Magnet Gacha, which is split into Summer Accessories (10 total), Profile Backgrounds (20 total), and a Chromatic Gacha Box.

The spinner also hands out physical fruits, with common fruits excluded from the pool. That matters because the reworked Dragon (East) appears in the spinner under the on-screen note that Dragon is rollable in the gacha, confirming the rework ships with this update rather than sitting behind a later patch.

If you plan to chase the level 3000 ceiling on day one, the practical prep is knowing that progression now runs through the First Sea again rather than around it. Island Secrets gate both the extra levels and the teleport network, so the old habit of rushing past Sea 1 no longer applies once September 5 arrives.
