Palia: Zed Drop Quest Guide

Steal Eshe's Bahari family seal, plant it at De Mer Dock, and collect the Lucky Coin Zeki owes you.

Steal Eshe’s Bahari family seal, plant it at De Mer Dock, and collect the Lucky Coin Zeki owes you.

Zeki’s side business in Palia usually involves selling you something at a markup, but Zed Drop is the rare job where his smuggling actually has a point. His boss, Zed, is trying to move medicine to a litter of sick Grimalkin kittens, and the paperwork needs a Bahari family seal to look legitimate. Eshe keeps one locked in her desk at Kilima Village City Hall, and Zeki hands you a lockpick rather than going anywhere near the theft himself.

Quick answer: Talk to Zeki at Friendship Level 2 to get the Magic Lockpick, use it on the glowing desk drawer upstairs in Kilima Village City Hall, return the Seal to Zeki, then drop it at the glowing Dead Drop Spot on the pier at De Mer Dock in Elderwood. The quest closes when you read Zeki’s letter at your mailbox.

Zed Drop requirements and quest type

Zed Drop is a Discovery Quest tied to Zeki, and it will not appear on him until your friendship is far enough along. Both quest items are consumed as you go, so there is nothing to keep afterward.

DetailRequirement
Quest typeDiscovery Quest
Given byZeki
Unlock conditionFriendship Level 2 with Zeki, after finishing his level two friendship quest, Just Business
Items used1x Magic Lockpick, 1x Seal (both given during the quest)
Locations involvedKilima Village City Hall, the tavern, De Mer Dock in Elderwood, your housing plot

Once you qualify, a quest marker shows up over Zeki. Speaking to him about Eshe’s office starts Zed Drop and puts the Magic Lockpick straight into your inventory.

Steal the Bahari family seal from Kilima Village City Hall

Head to City Hall in Kilima Village and go upstairs to Eshe’s office. A quest marker sits on your map if you lose track of the room. Visiting at night is the easy option, since Eshe is not at her desk then.
Walk up to the desk and look for the sparkling patch beside the drawer. Interacting with it triggers the Magic Lockpick automatically, and the objective “0/1 Steal the Bahari Family seal” ticks over as you pick up the Seal.
Go back to Zeki at the tavern and choose the “Special delivery” dialogue option to hand the Seal over. He immediately hands it back with new instructions, because Elderwood makes him nervous and he wants you making the delivery instead.

Where the dead drop is in Elderwood

The drop point is at De Mer Dock in Elderwood, on the western pier around map square B7, a short walk northwest of the fast travel board. The objective updates to “Drop the seal at the drop point” and places a marker on your map, so you are never navigating blind.

Use the Kilima Central Stables to fast travel to the Elderwood Central Stables. This is the quickest route if you have not spent much time in the region.
Open your map at the stables and fast travel again, this time to Elderwood De Mer Dock. That second jump saves the long trip down Zendruu Way on foot.

Follow the dock out onto the broken section of pier and old boat wreckage until you see the glowing Dead Drop Spot on the ground. Interact with it to leave the Seal behind, which consumes the item and moves the quest to its final stage.

Wait for Zeki’s mail to finish Zed Drop

The tracker changes to “Wait to hear back from Zeki,” which means the quest is now on a mail delivery timer rather than anything you can rush. Head back to your housing plot and check your mailbox at the next delivery, which lands at 6:00AM Palian time.

Opening and reading Zeki’s letter is the step that actually completes the quest. He writes to confirm the medicine reached the kittens and thanks you for the part you played in it.

Note: if the mailbox is empty, you have simply not hit the next delivery yet. Sleeping or continuing to play until the in-game morning is the only fix, and the letter cannot arrive if you skipped interacting with the Dead Drop Spot.

Zed Drop rewards

RewardAmount
Lucky Coin1
Friendship with Zeki20 friendship points
Renown+5

The Lucky Coin is the reward worth caring about, since it feeds Zeki’s Lucky Box machine for a roll at whatever he has stocked. The friendship points also push you closer to his next set of quests, which is the practical reason to clear Zed Drop early rather than leaving it in your log.
