Anime Stars Update 2.5: Hero Passives, Shard Merchant, and Codes

Everything Update 2.5 adds to Anime Stars, from the 150 billion coin passive system to the working code list.

Everything Update 2.5 adds to Anime Stars, from the 150 billion coin passive system to the working code list.

Update 2.5 is the biggest structural change Anime Stars has had since launch. It bolts a passive-rolling system onto every hero, adds a rotating merchant that trades in a new currency, extends Dragon Wishes, and pushes the Reaper Trial three ranks higher. Here is what each piece does, what it costs, and how to claim the freebies attached to the update.

Quick answer: Find the Hero Passives mentor in the lobby and pay 150 billion coins to unlock passive rolling, then open the Shop, scroll to the bottom, and redeem 8KLIKES and UPDATE2.5 for update rewards.

Hero Passives: Unlock cost and how rolling works

Hero Passives are the headline feature. The system lives with a mentor NPC standing in the lobby, and it stays locked until you pay the entry fee.

Teleport back to the Lobby if you are out in a world. The Teleport menu lists Lobby as a destination with its own button.

Walk the lobby until you find the Hero Passives mentor and open the dialog. The unlock price is 150 billion coins, paid once for the account rather than per hero.
Open the rolling interface and spend Hero Passive Shards to reroll a hero’s passive. There are 11 possible passives in the pool, and rolling replaces whatever is currently attached.

You will know the unlock landed when the mentor’s dialog switches from the purchase prompt to the passive rolling UI.

Where to farm Hero Passive Shards

Shards are the bottleneck, not coins. The Dragon Raid drop table lists Hero Passive Shards at a 0.4% drop rate on Hard difficulty, so expect a long grind if raids are your only source.

Queue into the raid from the dungeon prompt and confirm with Join. Running Hard repeatedly is the most reliable route, since lower difficulties do not carry the same shard chance.

Shard Merchant: Rotating stock every 30 minutes

The second new system is a merchant who trades for merchant shards rather than coins. His stock refreshes on a 30 minute rotation, so the item you want may not be there on your first visit.

Aura Fragments and Hero Passive Shards both appear in the rotation, which makes the merchant the practical alternative to raid farming. Each listing shows its own shard cost and quantity, and buying it removes that entry until the next refresh.

Dragon Wishes changes and the Osno Mount

Dragon Wishes gained a new option and a higher ceiling. A “+1 Concurrent Roll” wish lets you run an extra roll at the same time, and Champion Rolls and Champion Slots can now be pushed to Level 4.

The Osno Mount is also claimed through the Dragon Wishes menu. It is a canine mount that follows you once claimed, and it shows up in your mount list immediately after the wish resolves.

Reaper Trial ranks, guild power, and balance changes

The Reaper Trial ladder extends past its old cap with three additional ranks. Guilds also gained upgradeable guild power, so contributions now feed a progression track instead of sitting idle.

Note: the Aizen adjustment is a nerf, so if he was carrying your lineup, expect to lean harder on passives and rankups to hold the same clear speed.

Working Anime Stars codes

Two codes shipped alongside Update 2.5, and several earlier ones are still redeemable. Codes are case sensitive, so type them exactly as written.

How to redeem codes in Anime Stars

Launch Anime Stars on Roblox and wait for the lobby to load fully.
Click the Shop icon on the left side of the screen and scroll all the way to the bottom of that window.
Type or paste a code into the “Insert Code” box and confirm it. Rewards drop into your inventory one at a time, which is the confirmation that the code went through.

If nothing happens, the usual causes are a typo, wrong capitalization, a code you already claimed on that account, or one that has since expired. Rejoining to land on a different server sometimes fixes a brand new code that has not propagated yet.

The practical order for Update 2.5 is straightforward. Redeem the codes first so you are not sitting on unclaimed summons, bank 150 billion coins to open the passive system, then decide whether you are farming Hard raids at 0.4% or checking the Shard Merchant every half hour for a cheaper route to the same shards.
