Anime Expeditions: How to Get Kitsune and Unlock Shiny Kitsune

Everything the Kitsune Bingo board asks for, what her four passives do, and how the Shiny version works.

Kitsune is the Exclusive-rarity support unit added to Anime Expeditions in Update 2, built around Sparkle from Honkai: Star Rail. She does no damage of her own. Instead, she hands out attack speed and cooldown reductions to whoever she is standing next to, then converts that activity into a team-wide damage buff. Getting her costs nothing but time on the Kitsune Bingo board.

Quick answer: Fill the Kitsune Bingo board once using Stamps dropped by enemies, then claim Kitsune from the Event Quests menu. The event runs until Update 4.

Where Kitsune Bingo Stamps drop

Stamps are the only currency the board accepts, and defeated enemies drop them across Story, Infinite, Challenge, Mastery, Raid, Portal, Tower, and Tidal Siege. Because nearly every mode feeds the board, normal progression fills it on its own — you do not need a dedicated event stage.

Drops are random, so some runs end with nothing. There is a hidden pity built into Stamp acquisition, but its threshold and reset behavior are not published, which means there is no fixed number of runs that guarantees a full board.

If you want to concentrate kills, Infinite is the efficient choice. School Grounds Act 1 Infinite carries a Summoner modifier that spawns extra enemies, raising the number of possible drops per run. Rose Kingdom Infinite trades some of that volume for a 2.5% chance at the Sky Ruins Portal.

Running a repeatable Infinite loop for Stamps

The fastest way to farm is a short Infinite cycle that resets before waves get slow. Wave 25 is the practical cutoff — past that point, clear speed drops faster than the Stamp rate improves.

Bring a team that can clear Infinite waves without you correcting placements mid-run. The specific units matter less than reaching the cutoff wave without leaking enemies.
Enter Rose Kingdom Infinite if you want the Sky Ruins Portal chance alongside Stamps, or School Grounds Act 1 Infinite if you only care about raw Stamp volume.
Fix your camera in a consistent position before the match starts. Every cycle after this depends on placements landing in the same spots.
Place Stone Alchemist for income, then fund one fast wave-clearing unit off that economy.

Turn on auto-upgrades for both the farm and the damage unit so income and clear speed keep scaling without input.
Let the run play through wave 25, collecting whatever Stamps drop along the way.
As wave 26 begins, open Settings and choose Restart Game. Then start the next cycle from the same camera position and placement order.

Tip: Watch one full restart before walking away. Confirm the next match actually loads, the units go down where they should, and auto-upgrades resume — a stalled loop wastes far more time than it saves.

Claiming Kitsune from the Event Quests menu

Kitsune Bingo lives in the Events menu. Spend Stamps to fill spaces, and every Stamp you place opens a Kitsune Reward Box on top of progressing the board.

Reward Box dropChance
100x Gem22.5%
5x Sprite15%
1x Trait Reroll12.5%
2x Stat Reroll12.5%
2x Stat Lock12.5%
2x Equipment Reroll12.5%
2x Equipment Lock12.5%

Once the board is complete, the reward does not appear automatically. Open Event Quests and claim Kitsune there. You know it worked when the summon cutscene plays and Kitsune shows up in your Units inventory tagged Flame and Magical.

The event stays live until Update 4, so there is a long window to finish the board.

Shiny Kitsune requires ten completed boards

The Shiny version is a separate, longer chase. Completing the Kitsune Bingo board ten times gives you a chance at Shiny Kitsune — a chance, not a guarantee. The exact rate is not stated in game, so ten boards can pass without the Shiny appearing.

Note: “Sparkle” is the character Kitsune is modeled on, not a separate in-game resource. If someone tells you to farm Sparkle, they mean either the Kitsune unit or Sprites, which are a different progression material entirely.

Kitsune passives and how her buff loop works

Kitsune has no evolution, so every passive is active the moment you obtain her. Nothing needs to be unlocked with materials, and there is no second form to hunt down.

PassiveEffect
Red HerringGains 1 Skill Point per Regular Attack, starting at 0 and capping at 3.
DreamdiverWhile holding a Skill Point, buffs the strongest ally in range instead of attacking: SPA down 25% and Attack Speed up 25% for 20 seconds. If that ally already has it, the buff moves to the next strongest.
MonodramaShowtime Meter gains 20 per Regular Attack or applied buff, capping at 100. Filling it unlocks the Active Ability.
The Hero with a Thousand FacesSets Skill Points to max, cuts Kitsune’s own SPA by 15% until Skill Points hit 0, and raises every unit’s damage in range by 35% for 30 seconds. 100-second local cooldown.

The loop feeds itself. Attacks build Skill Points, spending Skill Points on Dreamdiver builds the Showtime Meter, and the Active Ability refills Skill Points while shortening her own attack interval. That shorter interval refills the meter faster, which is why the 35% damage window can be chained with relatively little downtime once she is upgraded.

Fully upgraded to Upgrade 10, her base stats land at 4,919 DMG, 4.4s SPA, and 27.1 RNG. The damage number is largely cosmetic — she is placed for the buffs, not the hits.

Best Trait and placement for Kitsune

Optics is the Trait to aim for, since its 25% Range boost widens the pool of allies she can buff and the area her 35% damage aura covers. Range is the stat that decides how many units benefit, so it outweighs everything else on a unit that deals no meaningful damage.

Placement follows the same logic. Put her where her circle overlaps your strongest carries, because Dreamdiver targets the strongest ally in range first and cascades down from there. She slots into every mode for that reason, which is a large part of why she ranks alongside the top Update 2 units despite contributing no DPS herself.

Because the board fills through ordinary play, the main decision is whether to grind Infinite loops deliberately or simply let Stamps accumulate while you clear other content. One board is enough for the unit itself, and everything past that is purely the Shiny chase.
