Once Human Patch 3.0.5: Whalepup Rework and Soul Summoner Buff

Version 3.0.5 lands after September 2 maintenance with storage search, RaidZone campsite crafting, and two Deviation balance changes.

Version 3.0.5 is a maintenance-gated update for Once Human that mixes two meaningful Deviation balance changes with a batch of quality-of-life work on storage, dyeing, and RaidZone crafting. Server maintenance is scheduled for September 2, 2026 at 4:00 PM (PT) and is expected to run about two hours, though the actual reopening time can shift.

Quick answer: Whalepup swaps its weapon vulnerability effect for a flat 40% status vulnerability debuff lasting 5 seconds on any damage it deals, and Soul Summoner’s Phantom Radiance Sparrow release cooldown drops to 0.5 seconds. Both take effect once the September 2 maintenance ends and your client finishes updating.

Deviation balance changes in 3.0.5

The Whalepup change is the bigger one for team compositions. Its weapon vulnerability effect is gone, replaced by a status vulnerability debuff that applies whenever it deals damage. That moves it out of raw gun-damage support and into a slot that favors status builds, and the 5-second window means uptime now depends on how consistently Whalepup is landing hits.

Soul SummonerCooldown for releasing Phantom Radiance Sparrow reduced to 0.5 seconds, raising how often it can trigger.

Soul Summoner’s buff builds on an earlier correction. A fix issued on August 26 restored the ultimate’s ability to summon Phantom Radiance Sparrow, giving each weapon hit a 15% chance to release one. With the release cooldown cut to half a second, that 15% roll now converts into far more actual summons during sustained fire.

Note: Whalepup remains one of the Deviations excluded from using battle skills directly in first-person mode, so the reworked debuff still comes from its normal combat behavior rather than a first-person activation.

Storage Search: find stored items by keyword

Storage crates get a keyword search. Type part of an item name and the crate filters down to matching entries, which removes the manual scroll through Item Storage Crates, Weapon Storage Crates, and Armor Storage Crates. It is the simplest way to confirm the patch installed correctly, since the search field only appears on an updated client.

Fashion Dye upgrade and 24 more dyeable sets

The dye system picks up clearer indicators, batch management for applying colors across multiple pieces, and a simple mode that limits editing to the parts you have selected. Custom dye support expands to 24 additional sets, continuing the rollout that began when charges moved from per-section to per-component pricing and the overall cost of a full dye set dropped by roughly 60%.

Portable Crafting: campsite items in RaidZone

Inside RaidZones you can now craft campsite items straight from your backpack instead of returning to a fixed station. Once placed, campsites keep their existing roles as respawn points and cooking spots, so a squad that pushes deep into a zone can set up support closer to the objective rather than backtracking.

Custom server host rewards and the Prayer avatar

A new “Excellent Host” tier rewards servers that keep people playing. Hosts whose average daily engagement score lands between 200 and 599 get a free 30-day renewal, which is the same length as a standard paid custom server period. There is also a visiting reward for players who do not host anything themselves.

The visiting reward is the easier of the two to verify. After the third distinct custom server, the “Prayer” avatar becomes selectable in your profile.

Shop additions: Duskfire Breaker and Mirror Night

Duskfire Breaker is the Lightforge Loot Crate attached to this update, arriving the same day as maintenance. A combo crate follows a week later, alongside two cosmetic lines added directly to the Shop.

Meta Pass, scenario sign-up, and honor cap adjustments

Lightforge Ingot claim progress no longer resets when a Meta Pass expires. Whatever you had accumulated is stored and picks back up from that point the next time the pass is active, which matters most for players who let a pass lapse between purchases.

Scenario server registration also gets more breathing room. The sign-up lock period drops to four hours, so sign-ups stay open longer before a server closes to new entries. On the honor side, the Coasium Hardcore cap rises to 200 in Way of Winter, and faction war rating points in Prismverse’s Clash have been adjusted.

Two smaller optimizations round this out. Weapon shadows now render in first-person, and vending machines support facility trading.

Bug fixes included in Version 3.0.5

  • Deviation trait prompts now display correctly in vending machines.
  • Crash fixes for mobile devices.
  • Corrections to UI notifications.

If the search field is missing from your storage crates or Whalepup still shows the old weapon vulnerability text after servers reopen, the client has not finished patching. Restart the launcher and let the download complete, then check the Deviation’s skill details again before adjusting any builds around the new debuff.
