Anime Crusaders: How to Reroll the Crusader Trait on Berserk (Slayer)

Divine Token costs per roll, the 1,500-roll global pity limit, and the stats a Crusader Berserk (Slayer) lands on.

Crusader is the trait everyone chases on Berserk (Slayer), and there is no shortcut to it beyond spending Divine Tokens at the Trait Reroll screen until it shows up. The roll itself is cheap. The problem is volume, because the trait sits far enough down the rarity list that a run of a few hundred pulls is considered a fast result rather than a slow one.

Quick answer: Select Berserk (Slayer) in your collection, open Trait Reroll, and press Reroll repeatedly at 2 Divine Tokens per attempt until the gold crown animation plays and Crusader is locked onto the unit.

Divine Token cost per Crusader reroll

Every attempt takes 2 Divine Tokens, and there is no discount for bulk rolling or for rerolling a unit you have already rolled before. That flat rate makes the total cost easy to plan around, since your token balance divided by two is exactly how many attempts you are holding.

RollsDivine Tokens needed
12
100200
200400
1,500 (pity ceiling)3,000

Note: 3,000 Divine Tokens is the worst-case budget. Landing Crusader anywhere before that point simply ends the run early and refunds nothing.

Reroll Berserk (Slayer) for the Crusader trait

Open your unit collection and select Berserk (Slayer). The trait you roll applies to the specific unit you have highlighted, so make sure it is the leveled copy you actually field and not a spare.
Open the Trait Reroll menu from that unit’s panel. The screen shows the trait currently attached to Berserk (Slayer) along with your remaining Divine Token count.
Press Reroll and keep pressing. Each click burns 2 Divine Tokens and replaces the current trait, so you will cycle through filler results such as Agile, Tactician, Eclipse, Fierce, and Focus many times before anything rare appears.

Stop the moment the gold crown animation plays. That flourish only fires on a rare hit, and it is your cue to read the trait name before spending anything else.

How the 1,500-roll global Crusader pity works

Crusader has a global pity set at 1,500 rolls, which functions as a hard ceiling rather than a promise of a good average. Your rolls accumulate toward that number, and hitting it guarantees the trait, but nothing stops the trait from dropping much earlier.

Landing Crusader at roughly 200 rerolls, for example, is a run that ends at around 13 percent of the pity ceiling and costs about 400 Divine Tokens instead of 3,000. That gap between a lucky run and a pity run is the entire reason people bank tokens before starting.

Confirming the Crusader trait applied

Two things tell you it worked. The gold crown animation plays on the roll itself, and the unit panel then lists Crusader as the active trait on Berserk (Slayer) with the stat block updated underneath it.

Check the stat card rather than trusting the animation alone. A level 100 Berserk (Slayer) carrying Crusader reads out as follows.

StatValueGrade
DMG26199.5S+
SPA4.9SSS
RNG19.3SS

If the panel still shows a filler trait after the animation, you were looking at a different rare result, not Crusader. The trait name on the card is the only reliable confirmation.

The practical takeaway is to treat Crusader as a token budgeting exercise, not a strategy one. Save until you can cover a meaningful block of attempts, roll on the copy of Berserk (Slayer) you have actually leveled, and let the pity counter serve as your worst-case backstop rather than your plan.
