Where Winds Meet: Zheng E and Snowplum Requiem Hero’s Realm Guide (Lvl 96)

Clear both level 96 bosses with the right talent conditions, roles, and Lion's Roar setup for every mechanic.

Clear both level 96 bosses with the right talent conditions, roles, and Lion’s Roar setup for every mechanic.

The level 96 Hero’s Realm run pairs two very different fights. Zheng E is a tower-based encounter built around Frost Poison management and parrying, while Snowplum Requiem turns into a sound-wave puzzle that leans heavily on the Lion’s Roar mystic skill. Both are 10-player fights, and both punish teams that skip role assignments.

Quick answer: Have every player equip Lion’s Roar before you start. For Zheng E, keep Frost Poison Resistance active whenever you stand in the blue circle, deflect four Ice Blade Bursts, and break the boss’s shield during Cold Invasion in under 18 seconds. For Snowplum Requiem, redirect Responding Melody waves with Lion’s Roar, cycle Five Tones notes to orange in the right order, and protect three guqin players during the finale.

Before you queue

The recommended Martial Mastery for the run sits around 35,673, comfortably above the 30,000 baseline. Team composition matters more than raw numbers on both fights, so sort roles in chat before the first pull.

Bring at least two healers and agree on a Cloudburst rotation. Three healers make the Zheng E phase considerably easier. You also want ranged damage for the blue-circle elites and fire arrows on hand, since fire arrows are the only way to destroy the blue flowers later in the fight.

Note: Cloudburst Healing has a cooldown longer than its duration. Two healers must alternate casts to keep Frost Poison Resistance up without a gap. Casting at the same time opens a resistance window that can wipe the team.

Zheng E: tower phase mechanics

Zheng E jumps onto an ice tower and gains a shield. He surrounds himself with a blue Frost Poison circle, and elite monsters spawn during the fight. Killing those elites drops Lotus Leaves, which enhance the healer’s Cloudburst Healing skill.

Frost Poison and the blue circle

Frost Poison builds up inside the blue circle. Never enter that area without Frost Poison Resistance active. To attack the tower and stay inside, your healers keep Resistance running by alternating Cloudburst Healing. The second healer should watch both the healing circle’s remaining time and the Resistance timer before committing a cast.

Defeat the Winter Vortex mob quickly. Left alone, it pulls players into the hazard zone.

Ice Blade Burst and the knockdown

Move outside the blue circle to face the Ice Blade Burst attacks. Deflecting at least four of them depletes Zheng E’s Qi bar and drops him off the tower into a damage phase. The stricter talent asks that no one on the team takes any Ice Blade damage at all, which needs clean parries across the whole group.

Ice Vines Entangle and Ice Spike Pursuit

Ice Vines Entangle tethers two players together. The simplest fix is stacking the whole team in one spot so the tether resolves instantly. Alternatively, a third player can redirect an ice blade across the line to sever it before it turns lethal.

For Ice Spike Pursuit, a red circle marks the targeted player. That player moves away from the main team until the tracking attack ends.

Cold Invasion (Cold Energy)

During Cold Invasion, a healer climbs the tower and spams heavy heals to keep the party alive while the rest of the team breaks the boss’s golden shield. Several things happen at once here, so split responsibilities cleanly.

  • Deflect the Sleeping Puppet so it cannot knock the healer off the tower.
  • Shoot down the blue flowers with fire arrows. They poison the healers on the tower, who die at 20 stacks.
  • Deflect any charging elite monster’s red attack.

If you do not defeat the boss fast enough, he repeats his mechanics from the top. Breaking the shield within 18 seconds is what stops elites from charging the tower, so a fast break serves two talent goals at once.

Zheng E talent conditions

TalentRequirement
1-1Never enter the Frost Poison area without Frost Poison Resistance
1-2Deflect at least four Ice Blade Bursts
1-3The entire team takes no damage from Ice Blade Burst
2-1Deflect the Sleeping Puppet (elite red attack) during Cold Invasion
2-2Shoot at least four blue flowers with fire arrows during Cold Invasion
2-3No elite charges the tower and the shield breaks within 18 seconds

Snowplum Requiem: setup and roles

Every player should carry Lion’s Roar into this fight. Before the pull, check your control layout so you can trigger the mechanic interactions on time. A workable team split is three guqin players, three guqin protectors, and four players (including tank and healers) staying on the boss.

Responding Melody (Call and Response)

Players marked by a gold ring should face away from allies and use Lion’s Roar right before the ring finishes charging. That reflects the sonic wave away from the group. Everyone else parries the resulting red AoEs. The talent asks you to counter every Responding Melody attack in the fight, so no one can miss a redirect.

Soul Touching Melodies (High Mountains and Flowing Rivers)

This attack sends vertical sound waves, arcs, and shockwaves at the group. Dodge the vertical sound strings by positioning in the gaps between them, then heal through the damage that follows. The talent here requires all players to avoid both waves of vertical strings.

Five Tones (Five Notes Harmony)

A central bell shows a target note. You strike the surrounding orbs to cycle their color until each reaches orange, then send it into the bell with the F key. The notes cycle through a fixed color order.

The order is Yellow → Green → Red → Blue → Orange. Send two correct notes into the bell for talent 2-1, and make sure the Five-Chimes does not survive more than 30 seconds for talent 2-2.

Three Performances (Guqin Trio)

Three designated players interact with guqins and play a rhythm mini-game. They must play perfectly to break the boss’s golden shield and prevent a wipe. While they play, the guqin protectors use Lion’s Roar to shield them from gold Responding Melody attacks. Protecting a guqin player at least once covers talent 1-2. The hardest talent, 2-3, requires all guqin players to play perfectly with no incorrect notes absorbed by the bell during Five Tones.

Snowplum Requiem talent conditions

TalentRequirement
1-1Dodge all vertical sound wave attacks during Soul Touching Melodies
1-2Protect a guqin player with Lion’s Roar at least once
1-3Counter all Responding Melody attacks in the fight
2-1Send in two correct notes during Five Tones
2-2Ensure the Five-Chimes does not survive more than 30 seconds
2-3All guqin players play perfectly and no incorrect notes during Five Tones

The through-line for both bosses is the same. Zheng E rewards steady parries and clean Frost Poison uptime, and Snowplum Requiem rewards timing Lion’s Roar precisely and keeping the guqin players safe. Lock in your healer rotation and role assignments before the first pull, and every talent condition falls into place naturally as the fight goes on.
