The Knightly Ring is one of the Legendary rings in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it sits in a buried chest rather than on a boss or a vendor shelf. It is tied to the Tantari Woods Treasure in the southern half of Vale Sangora, and the dig spot is easy to walk past because nothing marks it except a heap of wood and dirt.
Quick answer: Go to the marshy ground northeast of Tantari Woods, find the pile of wood and dirt, dig it up with your shovel, and loot the Knightly Ring from the hidden chest underneath. You do not need the treasure map first.
Knightly Ring location: Tantari Woods buried chest
Tantari Woods sits in the southern regions of Vale Sangora, in the same stretch of map as Svartrau City and The Silts. The treasure itself is not inside the treeline. It is out in the swampy, low-lying ground to the northeast, in the shaded patch of terrain the map marks as wetland.
How to confirm you got the ring
The loot window that opens after the dig lists the Knightly Ring with Legendary rarity. Once it is in your inventory, equip it in a ring slot and check that the item name appears on the character screen. If the chest opened and the ring is not in it, you are at a different dig site.
Two things account for most failed attempts. Nothing happens if you have not found the wood and dirt pile itself, since it is the only interaction point that reveals the chest. And the interaction requires the shovel prompt, so an ordinary search action on the surrounding ground does nothing.
Treasure Map: Tantari Woods is optional
There is a bandit camp near Tantari Woods holding a document called Treasure Map: Tantari Woods. Reading it marks the same swamp dig site, but the chest exists in the world whether or not you own the map. If you already know where to dig, you can skip the camp entirely and go straight to the marsh.
If you want the map anyway, the camp is a short detour.
The second Knightly Ring at the Kobolds’s Nest
The swamp chest is not the only place the ring turns up. A Knightly Ring can also be pulled from a chest at the Kobolds’s Nest, the same underground area that holds Isbrand’s Greaves. That gives you a route to a duplicate if you want a second copy, or a fallback if you have already looted the woods.

Why the Knightly Ring matters for Gear of the Gods
Legendary Equipment is the top rarity tier in the game, and holding a full set of it unlocks the Gear of the Gods trophy and achievement. Most Legendary pieces come from quest rewards or fixed hidden locations, so a buried chest like this one counts as a guaranteed pickup rather than a drop you have to farm.
Tip: if the ring feels underpowered later in the campaign, blacksmiths and armorers can upgrade Legendary gear, so grabbing it early is not wasted.
Because the swamp sits close to Xanthe Court content, you will often pick up new activity notifications while running the route. Those are separate objectives and none of them gate the dig.
Once the ring is equipped, the rest of the Legendary hunt splits into fixed pickups you can plan around and rare drops you cannot. The Tantari Woods chest belongs firmly in the first group, which makes it one of the cheapest Legendary items in the valley to secure on a first playthrough.
