The Blood of Dawnwalker: Every Bakir’s Transports Quest

Where both payoff transports sit, how to close them, and the choice that unlocks the Ill-Gotten Gains treasure hunt.

Where both payoff transports sit, how to close them, and the choice that unlocks the Ill-Gotten Gains treasure hunt.

Bakir’s payoff transports are two of the twelve court activities tied to him, and they are among the fastest ways to push his Anger meter toward the threshold that unlocks The Lunar Game. Both are roadside ambushes. Both cost 3 time segments. One of them hands you a treasure map if you make the right call at the end of the fight.

Quick answer: Clear the escort at Jagged Rocks, northwest of Rockfalls, then inspect the cargo and read Orders: Carrion to close Curious Shipment. Then clear the second convoy near Turtle Rock in The Silts and let the surviving soldiers walk away — their treasure map starts the Ill-Gotten Gains sub-activity.

Both Bakir’s Transports locations and costs

Bakir’s region is tuned for level 20 and up, so tackle these after you have cleared out Ambrus. Neither activity is pinned on the map from the start — court activities show as “Unknown Activity” until you find them, and climbing the nearby towers marks them with white question mark icons.

Each one takes 3 time segments off your 30 in-game days. That is the standard rate for court activities outside the blood cellars, so a full sweep of Bakir’s list still leaves plenty of room for side quests.

Curious Shipment: Jagged Rocks ambush and the Orders: Carrion note

Open the map and set Curious Shipment as your tracked objective. The marker sits northwest of Rockfalls, on the approach to the Jagged Rocks shrine.

Ride or sprint up to the shrine. The transport walks the road rather than sitting still, so close the gap before the escort spreads out.

Kill Bakir’s lackeys guarding the shipment. Fighting at night with claws is the easier option here, since you are not held to sword-only rules the way you are inside The Lunar Game.
Loot every body. The pile includes Orders: Carrion alongside Denarius and miscellaneous gear such as Adventurer’s Cuffs, a Perfect Riposte Manual, a Golden Cross and Moldovan Red Wine.

Follow the “Investigate the cargo” objective and interact with the shipment itself. Reading the orders — carrion being hauled for kobolds — is what actually completes the activity, not the kills.

Note: if the activity is still sitting open in your journal after the fight, you skipped the cargo. Walk back to the crates and inspect them.

Fool’s Gold: Turtle Rock convoy and the Ill-Gotten Gains map

Track Fool’s Gold and head for The Silts, near Turtle Rock. The journal objective reads “Intercept the transport,” and the escort patrols a wooded stretch of road.

Engage the guards among the trees. This group is larger than the Jagged Rocks escort and includes armoured soldiers, so keep your back clear of the treeline.

Once enough of them are down, the survivors surrender in a short cutscene and offer a map to their gold in exchange for their lives. Take the offer. Letting them leave is the only way to receive the treasure map that opens the Ill-Gotten Gains sub-activity.
Sweep the ground afterwards. A Diplomatic Missive is lying among the remains of the convoy, and the activity registers as complete once the encounter resolves.

Killing the surrendering soldiers still finishes Fool’s Gold and still angers Bakir. You simply lose the map, and Ill-Gotten Gains never appears in your journal.

Rewards and how to confirm both activities registered

Each transport pays out 100 XP on completion. Curious Shipment also awards 1 Skill Point, which makes it the more valuable of the two if you are short on points for Shapeshift or Mercurial Fervor.

The clearest confirmation is the Court menu. Open it after each transport and check Bakir’s Anger meter — every completed activity in his region pushes it up, and you get his duel quest once it maxes out. You do not need all twelve of his activities to trigger it; roughly three quarters of the list is enough.

Both transports remain available on the map until you start them, and they stay available even after Bakir is dead, so there is no penalty for saving them for a cleanup run. The only decision that permanently closes a door is the one at the end of Fool’s Gold — spare the soldiers if you want the gold.
