Anime Reversal: How to Get the Elite Trait on Shiny Ame (Curse)

What the Elite trait actually gives Ame (Curse), how Auto-Trait-Reroll works, and how many rerolls to budget.

What the Elite trait actually gives Ame (Curse), how Auto-Trait-Reroll works, and how many rerolls to budget.

Landing Elite on a Secret unit is the single biggest damage jump available in Anime Reversal, and Ame (Curse) is one of the units people burn their entire reroll stack on. The trait sits at a 0.1% roll rate, which is why a run can pass 500 rerolls and still come up empty. Here is exactly how the reroll works, what Elite does once it sticks, and how to keep the crystals flowing.

Quick answer: Open the Trait Reroll menu at the upgrade section, set Elite in the Filters, then confirm Auto-Trait-Reroll — the system keeps rolling until Elite appears or your Reroll Crystals run out. At a 0.1% rate, plan for roughly 1,000 rolls on average, and expect swings well past that.

Elite trait rate and damage bonus

Elite grants +250% damage, and it is the only trait in the pool that scales a main DPS carry that hard. Everything else you cycle past during a reroll session — Superior I through III, Swift I through III, Range I through III, Sniper, Ascend, Flash, Golden — is filler by comparison on a unit you intend to build around.

TraitChanceEffect
Elite0.1%+250% damage
Lunar~0.3%High attack speed and range
Doom~0.5%Adds damage over time
Zodiac~1.0%Balanced stat multiplier
Silencer~2.0%Utility and stun duration
Money~5.0%Increased wave income

Note: rolling replaces whatever trait the unit currently has. There is no lock on the existing trait, so once you start chasing Elite you are also willing to lose a Lunar or Zodiac you already own.

How to run Auto-Trait-Reroll on Ame (Curse)

Head to the upgrade section in the lobby and open the Trait Reroll machine. Select the Ame (Curse) copy you actually intend to build — the shiny variant rolls from the same trait pool as a normal one, and the unit’s level does not change the odds, so a Level 1 copy rolls the same as a maxed one.
Open Filters and tick Elite before you touch anything else. The auto-roller stops only on traits you have selected in the filter, so an empty or wrong filter means the system will burn through your crystals without ever halting on the trait you want.
Press Auto Roll and confirm on the “You are going to use Auto-Trait-Reroll” prompt by choosing Yes. The game then cycles traits continuously until Elite is obtained or your Reroll Crystals hit zero, and a second warning reminds you that the current trait will be replaced.

Hit Stop whenever you want to take over manually. The Reroll button shows your remaining crystal count next to it, so you can watch the balance drain in real time and decide when to switch back to auto or walk away.

How to confirm the Elite trait landed

The auto-roller halts the moment a filtered trait appears, and the TRAIT slot on the unit card locks to Elite instead of continuing to flicker. Back out of the menu and check the unit in your inventory — the trait label stays on the card permanently, and it survives evolution, so an Elite roll made before evolving Ame carries over to her final form along with her stat potential.

If the roller ran and Elite never appeared, only a few things are usually responsible.

  • Elite was not selected in Filters, so the system rolled past it without stopping.
  • Your Reroll Crystals ran out mid-session and the process ended on whatever trait was showing.
  • You rolled on a different copy of the unit than the one in your loadout.
  • Nothing went wrong at all — 0.1% means long dry stretches are normal, and passing 500 rolls without a hit is well inside expected variance.

The documented pity system in Anime Reversal applies to mythic unit summons, not trait rolls, and that pity does not reset when you pull a mythic. Do not count on a guaranteed Elite after a set number of rerolls.

Where to farm Reroll Crystals for the attempt

A serious Elite hunt needs a four-figure crystal bank before you start, and all of it can be gathered without spending Robux. Event Floor 4 is the workhorse because the drop is guaranteed rather than random.

SourceReward
Event Floor 4 clear1–3 rerolls, guaranteed every run
Battle Pass tier 1525 rerolls
Battle Pass tiers 45–50100 rerolls free track, +200 on the paid track
Code UPDATE310,000 Gems and 300 rerolls
Code TOKYO6,000 Gems and 100 rerolls

Battle Pass XP comes from killing enemies, so any farming session you were already running feeds the reroll stack. Activate a Luck Potion from Group Rewards or level rewards before you commit a large batch of crystals.

Whether Ame (Curse) deserves the crystals

Ame (Curse) is an A-tier ground unit built entirely around one passive: she instantly kills any enemy below 10% HP, bosses included. That makes her a cleanup specialist rather than a primary carry, catching leaks that your main DPS gets low but does not finish. She is also full AoE on placement, which helps with wave control on long Infinite runs.

Because her value comes from the execute threshold rather than raw damage numbers, +250% damage is not as transformative on her as it is on a top-end carry like RedHair (Awaken) or Kirita (Dual). Zodiac is the more efficient target if you just want her functional, and Elite is the luxury pick once your main carries are already sorted. Ame herself drops from Legend Stages on Nightmare difficulty at a 1% rate, and Ame’s Curse — the evolution item — is a separate 1% drop from Trash World 1 on Nightmare.

If you are new to the reroll system, the sensible order is to secure a usable trait first, push stat potential to S or higher, and only then start the long Elite grind. A unit sitting on Elite with poor stat potential can end up weaker than a Zodiac unit with a Z+ roll, so the two systems need to move together.
