Oni Armaments are the special weapons Musashi fuels with blue souls, and there are seven of them scattered across Kyoto and the surrounding regions. Collect all seven and the Oni Armory trophy and achievement unlocks. Two arrive on their own as you play, while the remaining five sit in chests you have to walk to.
Quick answer: Pick up the Oni Bow in the Oni Refuge and the Wind-Whipper during “The Oni’s Apprentice,” then loot the chests for The Two Celestials at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, the Earth-Shakers on Underground Level 4, the Firebird Flute south of the Gojo Street – East Spirit Mirror, the Flashing Void in Mount Oe’s Castle Courtyard, and Still Water in the northeast corner of the Arashiyama Swamp.
How the Oni Armory trophy unlocks
The trophy pops the moment the seventh armament enters your inventory. There is no separate turn-in, no shrine to visit, and no requirement to use any of the weapons in combat.
Nothing here is permanently missable. Free roam stays open until the point of no return prompt in front of the final mission, “The Clash At Rendaino,” and even after the credits you can select Continue from the main menu to be placed back just before that mission. That makes a single dedicated cleanup run enough to finish the set.
Note: armaments run on blue souls, and landing hits with them feeds yellow souls back to you, so picking them up early is worth more than saving them for a cleanup pass.

The two armaments the campaign hands you
Oni Bow location (Oni Refuge)
After the Oni Glyph drops you into the Oni Refuge, follow the path forward and open the chest sitting directly on the main route. The bow is required to shoot the gate ahead and continue, so it cannot be skipped. It has unlimited ammunition and doubles as your tool for hitting distant cores and gate blocks later on.
Wind-Whipper location (“The Oni’s Apprentice”)
The Wind-Whipper arrives automatically during “The Oni’s Apprentice,” once you have been walked through the Skills practice grounds and the Boss Rematch feature. A chest appears at the end of that sequence, and the naginata is inside along with a few Mild Restoratives. No detour or exploration is involved.

The five Oni Armament chests you have to find
The Two Celestials location (Kiyomizu-dera Temple)
This is the earliest armament in the game. At Kiyomizu-dera Temple, destroy the second Thread Genma holding the second oni gate shut. The treasure chest suspended in the threads falls once the Genma dies, and looting it gives you the paired blades. Reaching the area involves squeezing through a gap in the cave, and a red barrier in front of the chest has to be broken with a weapon strike before you can open it.

Earth-Shakers location (Underground Laboratory, Level 4)
Head into the Underground Laboratory and descend to Underground Level 4. Solve the fan puzzle, then continue into the next room, where the chest holding the hammers is waiting. They are the stamina-breaking option in your kit, and holding the charge raises their damage.

Firebird Flute location (south of Gojo Street – East)
The flute sits in a chest at the spot where the Rift stood during the mission “Shadows Fall,” south of the Gojo Street – East Spirit Mirror. Look for the shrine structure and the chest will be visible ahead of you as you approach. Playing the flute calls flaming firebirds that you can then fire forward.

Flashing Void location (Mount Oe, Castle Courtyard)
In the Castle Courtyard on Mount Oe, find the narrow cave opening you have to slide into. The chest with the lightning spear is inside. It deals the heaviest health damage of the set and showers red souls from anything it kills, which makes it useful while you are still saving up for upgrades.

Still Water location (Arashiyama Swamp)
The last armament is in the Swamp area of Arashiyama, in the northeast corner of the map, among the ruined structures. The sword pulls purple souls out of the enemies it strikes down. If you are working through the list in order, this is usually the pickup that fires the Oni Armory trophy.
Use Oni Vision to spot the chests
Three Special Skills make every chest in the game far easier to spot: Oni Vision: Treasures, Oni Vision: Treasures 2, and Oni Vision: Search Range. Buy them before spending Oni Stones elsewhere, then get in the habit of holding L2/LT and tapping R2/RT as you move through each region.
If a chest refuses to open, the usual cause is a red barrier still sitting in front of it. One weapon strike clears it, and the prompt returns immediately.
Armaments are among the shorter collectible lists in the game, so it is worth clearing them alongside the Lion Dogs, Charms, and Genma Notes on the same cleanup pass before you commit to “The Clash At Rendaino.” Keep a manual save at that point and you can return to any region you skipped without touching New Game+.
