Sony is selling two limited-edition DualSense Wireless Controllers built around Grand Theft Auto VI, and both go up for pre-order on the same day in limited quantities. There is a Black Limited Edition and a White Limited Edition, each carrying Vice City-inspired coloring, and both ship on the same day the game arrives.

Quick answer: Pre-orders open on September 10 at 7:00am PT / 10:00am ET in the US, and 10:00am local time in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Buy through direct.playstation.com (playstation.com/store/hardware in Portugal) at $84.99 / £74.99 / €84.99 / ¥12,480. Both controllers ship November 19.

Release time: September 10 at 7:00am PT / 10:00am ET

GTA 6 DualSense pre-order date and time by region

The United States gets a fixed clock time, while the European markets open at 10:00am wherever you are. That means the UK, mainland Europe, and the US do not all go live at the same instant, so use your own local time rather than converting from someone else’s.

Stock is capped, so treat the opening minute as the whole window. Sony has described the quantities as limited in every listed market.

How to pre-order the GTA 6 controllers on PlayStation Direct

Sign in to your PlayStation account before the opening time. Doing this ahead of the rush avoids losing a checkout to a password reset or a two-factor prompt.
Save a valid payment method and a current shipping address on the account. A declined card or an address mismatch is the most common way a cart evaporates.
Decide which color you want before the page goes live. Choosing between Black and White at checkout costs time you may not have.
Open the storefront and go to PS5 Accessories, then Controllers & Remotes. You can also use the search bar for “DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition” or the White Limited Edition equivalent.
Add the controller to your cart and complete checkout immediately. Do not park it in the basket to keep browsing, since carts are not reservations.

Confirming the pre-order went through

A pre-order only counts once you reach the order confirmation screen and receive a confirmation email tied to your PlayStation account. The order should also appear in your account’s order history with a November 19 delivery estimate.

If checkout fails, the reason is almost always one of a small set: the allocation sold out while you were in the queue, your payment method was declined, or your shipping country is not one of the supported pre-order markets. None of those are fixable by refreshing repeatedly with the same details.

Where each edition is sold: Black vs White availability

The two colorways are not distributed identically, which matters if you are choosing where to queue. The White Limited Edition is being offered globally in limited quantities through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. The Black Limited Edition goes through PlayStation Direct where that store operates, and through select retailers in other regions.

Portugal is handled separately. Buyers there place pre-orders through the PlayStation hardware store rather than PlayStation Direct.

Note: These are PS5 accessories. Grand Theft Auto VI is also launching on Xbox Series X|S, but the controllers themselves are sold only through PlayStation channels.

GTA 6 limited edition DualSense price in each currency

Both colorways carry the same price, so picking Black over White has no cost impact. The premium over a standard DualSense, which lists at $69.99, is $15 in the US.

What the Black and White controller designs look like

Both controllers use a color-shifting finish that reads differently depending on the light, with palm tree detailing molded into the grips and a Grand Theft Auto VI logo set into the center of the touchpad. Pink detailing runs across the D-pad and face buttons, and metallic purple and blue accents pick up the neon look.

The White Limited Edition leans on Vice City at daybreak, with brighter tones that make the pink controls stand out. The Black Limited Edition is the darker, more urban take, where the neon accents do more of the work.

Nothing ships early. Both limited-edition DualSense controllers launch on November 19, 2026, the same day Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so a successful pre-order on September 10 simply holds your unit until then.
