Slayers 2: Every Ice Manipulation Blood Demon Art Move Explained

A breakdown of all five Cryokinesis skills, their close and long range variants, and how the set holds up in PvP.

A breakdown of all five Cryokinesis skills, their close and long range variants, and how the set holds up in PvP.

Ice Manipulation is the reworked version of the Cryokinesis Blood Demon Art heading into Slayers 2, and the showcase footage gives a clear look at how the kit is built. Every skill has been rebuilt from its Part 1 form, two of them split into separate close and long range attacks, and the set finishes with a full cutscene ultimate.

Quick answer: The Ice Manipulation kit runs five skills — Wintry Icicles, Cold White Princesses, Barren Hanging Garden, Freezing Cloud, and the Bodhisattva ultimate — and both Barren Hanging Garden and Freezing Cloud fire completely different animations depending on whether you are close to your target or far from it.

Ice Manipulation move list in Slayers 2

The five slots cover pressure, a counter, a gap closer, a ranged poke, and a stun-heavy finisher. Here is what each one does on screen.

SkillWhat it does
Wintry IciclesRains sharpened icicles down onto the target area, with spikes that can be detonated from beneath the target.
Cold White PrincessesTeleports the user, leaves an ice clone behind, and summons lotus entities that push out freezing mist. Has a counter variant.
Barren Hanging GardenLong range fires a spiraling ice projectile that bursts into frost. Close range is a flurry of arm strikes followed by delayed ice slashes.
Freezing CloudClose range grabs and slams the opponent into the ground. Long range sends a jagged wave of ice forward.
BodhisattvaUltimate. Summons a huge ice Buddha that shatters, releases a freezing gust, and sets off explosive ice spikes.

Wintry Icicles and Cold White Princesses

Wintry Icicles is the opener. The user calls down a set of razor-sharp icicles over the target’s position, and the spikes planted underneath can be set off for a second hit. It is the cheapest way to keep an opponent standing still and it leaves an icy marker on the ground where the damage is about to land.

Cold White Princesses is the defensive tool. Using it teleports the character, drops an ice clone in the old position, and calls up the lotus figures that breathe freezing mist at whatever is in front of them. The move also has a counter version, so timing it against an incoming attack changes what comes out.

Close and long range variants change the whole move

This is the part that matters most for anyone planning a combo route. Barren Hanging Garden and Freezing Cloud are not simply stronger or weaker at distance. They play out as two separate attacks.

At long range, Barren Hanging Garden has the user leap backwards and throw out a spiraling ice projectile that detonates into frost on contact. That backwards hop creates space, so it works as a disengage as much as a damage tool.

Up close, the same key produces a burst of rapid arm strikes that leave after-images hanging in the air. The jagged ice slashes land on a delay after the flurry finishes, which is what makes the move awkward to react to if you eat the first hit.

Freezing Cloud follows the same idea. In close range the character spins, vanishes, releases icy wind, then grabs the opponent and slams them into the floor. The long range version spins into a burst, sends out a frost-wreathed clone that stomps the ground, and pushes a jagged wave of ice forward along the arena.

Note: because the range check decides which animation plays, spacing is effectively a fifth input. Standing at the wrong distance gives you the variant you did not want.

Bodhisattva: The Ice Manipulation ultimate

Bodhisattva is the cutscene move for the set. It summons an enormous ice Buddha figure that shatters apart, sends out a freezing gust, and triggers a run of explosive ice spikes across the ground. It is the longest animation in the kit and the one the showcase duel ends on, which tells you roughly where it sits in a match — as a closer, not an opener.

How Ice Manipulation looks in PvP

The showcase includes a full 1v1 in the sand arena, cut between both players’ perspectives. The pattern that shows up repeatedly is Wintry Icicles or a ranged variant to open, then closing distance for the grab or the arm flurry once the opponent commits to a dodge.

Counters get traded often, which is where Cold White Princesses earns its slot. Because the skill leaves a clone and moves the user, a mistimed read from the opponent puts them out of position immediately.

What changed from the Part 1 Ice Demon Art

Ice Demon Art originally arrived in Update 1.5 of the first game with six moves mapped to keys and gated behind mastery levels, including Lotus Vines and a Bodhisattva unlock that required beating Douma first. Every Breathing Style and Blood Demon Art carried over from Part 1 is being rebuilt for the sequel, and the Ice set reflects that.

Lotus Vines does not appear in the Slayers 2 footage, which lines up with the five-skill structure the sequel uses for every Blood Demon Art.

Slayers 2 release date

The Cryokinesis showcase went out on September 4th, 2026, one of a run of release-prep videos that also covered Flame Breathing, Wind Breathing, Dream Manipulation, and the Tanto Knife and Claws. The video closed by promising a release date announcement on September 7th, and that announcement landed on schedule.

Slayers 2 launches on September 18th, 2026 at 4PM EST on Roblox, developed by Ouw0pp and published by Ouw Production. Progress does not carry over from the first game, though very rare clans and gamepasses have a chance of transferring.

Ice Manipulation has not been confirmed as part of the launch lineup of Blood Demon Arts, so treat the showcase as a look at the finished moveset rather than a guarantee of what is available on day one.
