Adopt Me Star Rewards: How to Get the Gemstone Egg and Amethyst Penguin

Token costs, hatch odds, shop items, and what happened to old Star Rewards progress.

Token costs, hatch odds, shop items, and what happened to old Star Rewards progress.

Star Rewards in Adopt Me no longer hands you a fixed prize track. The system now pays out tokens for daily logins, and you spend those tokens on whatever you want from a dedicated shop. The headline item is the Gemstone Egg, which holds the new Amethyst Penguin.

Quick answer: Log in daily to collect 1 token per day, then buy the Gemstone Egg for 28 tokens in the Star Rewards shop. The Amethyst Penguin hatches from it at a 0.05% rate.

How the daily claim and token payout works

Open the Star Rewards menu and press the green CLAIM button. A standard daily claim gives you 1 token and 25 Bucks, and your streak counter ticks up by one day.

If you want more Bucks, tap the Watch Ad option next to the reward. It plays a short in-game advertisement and doubles the Bucks portion of that day’s claim once the ad finishes.

Check your goal tracker. Setting the Gemstone Egg as your goal shows a running count such as 15/28, along with a note telling you how many more daily logins remain before you can afford it.

Note: tokens are a currency, not a checkpoint. Anything you spend on cheaper items pushes the 28-token egg further away, so decide early whether you are saving or spending.

Gemstone Egg cost and hatch rates

The Gemstone Egg costs 28 tokens, which works out to 28 days of uninterrupted daily claims if you spend nothing else. It is a top-heavy egg, with nearly every hatch landing in the ultra-rare tier.

At 0.05%, the Amethyst Penguin is a chase pet rather than a reliable target. One egg per 28 days means most players will see the ultra-rare pool far more often than the legendary one.

Everything in the Star Rewards shop

The shop mixes one big-ticket egg with cheap utility items. If the Buy button greys out and shows “You can’t afford this,” you simply do not have enough tokens yet.

ItemCostWhat it does
Gemstone Egg28 tokensLegendary egg containing the Amethyst Penguin
2x Boost20 tokensDoubles all Bucks and XP for 60 minutes; does not stack with other multipliers
Royal Fairytale Egg14 tokensRoyal version of the Fairytale Egg: 40% Rare, 50% Ultra-Rare, 10% Legendary
Streak Saver5 tokensBuys an extra 24 hours before your streak resets; each one is single-use and they can be stacked
Build Limit +5005 tokensRaises the build limit in the selected house by 500, up to a maximum of 8,000
Temp Confetti, Dance Party or Sparkler Aura1 token eachApplies the aura to equipped pets until you log out

A Regal Chest also sits in the lineup, with a spread of 20% Common, 50% Uncommon, 20% Rare, 8.5% Ultra-Rare, and 1.4% Legendary.

The temporary auras are the clearest trap for anyone chasing the egg. They cost a single token, but that token is one full day of progress, and the effect disappears the moment you leave the server.

What happened to old Star Rewards progress

Logging in after the changeover triggers a conversion popup reading “Star Rewards got an upgrade!” It hands over everything you had already earned on the old track, plus the next three items as a bonus. Payouts included items such as the Magician’s Wand Grappling Hook, the Hovercraft, the Big Log Throw Toy, the Froggy Stroller, the Mermaid Propeller, and the Red Panda Cupcake Chew Toy.

Two long-running Star Rewards prizes did not survive the switch. Diamond Eggs are gone from the reward pool, which makes the Diamond Unicorn and its siblings trade-only pets from here on.

How to confirm the Amethyst Penguin and see its Neon forms

Open the in-game Journal and search for the Amethyst Penguin. The entry lists it as Legendary and states “This item comes from: Gemstone Egg,” which is the quickest way to verify the pet’s source without owning it.

The Journal also previews the transformed versions. The Neon form adds glowing purple highlights to the base pet, while the Mega Neon cycles through a full rainbow gradient.

The practical takeaway is a simple one. Treat every token as a day of your streak, skip the one-token cosmetics if the egg is the goal, and keep a Streak Saver in reserve for the day you cannot log in.
