The Sebulba event is the campaign’s Act 1 finale in Star Wars: Galactic Racer, testing your piloting and your setup. Its Qualifier takes place over four laps on Derven Acos, with Sebulba as the main opponent; anything below first place means failure. A win grants Shade entry as a recognized racer in the Galactic League. Bring an unsuitable build into the race, and Sebulba’s speed advantage can decide the result.
Quick answer: Before the race, visit Hibi and install Enhanced Coolant I, Lethal Velocity I, Burn Protection, and Spark Plugs II, plus the Overcharged Autopilot ability. Then ram Sebulba often and finish first across four laps.

Build the right speeder at Hibi before the race
The race is won in the paddock as much as on the track. Head to Hibi in the workshop and fit four parts that keep your boost systems running hot while protecting you from their downside. This combination carries most of the speed you need to stay ahead of Sebulba’s top end.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enhanced Coolant I | Improves cooling so the Afterburner and Ramjet stay usable longer. |
| Lethal Velocity I | Grants a speed boost every time you land a takedown. |
| Burn Protection | Shields you from the 20-second Burning State that follows draining the Afterburner. |
| Spark Plugs II | Turns a Perfect Start into a small speed boost off the line. |
Alongside the parts, equip the Overcharged Autopilot ability. It charges your battery while Autopilot is engaged, so you bank energy to spend on other abilities during the race instead of running dry.
A Perfect Start matters here. Hold the accelerator shortly after the third beep sounds, roughly half a second later, to trigger the boost from Spark Plugs II.

Once the lights go green, the build does the heavy lifting on straights and the aqueduct sections while you manage your boost and pick your moments to attack. Sebulba taunts across all four laps and keeps the pressure on, so the goal is to deny him clean air by staying aggressive.

Crashing repeatedly in a single race can knock you out of the run and cost a League Token. Trade contact with Sebulba, not with walls.
How to know you won
Cross the line in first on the fourth lap and the screen reads FINISHED Won, followed by a QUALIFIED FOR THE GALACTIC LEAGUE banner. That unlocks the Qualified trophy and closes Act 1. The Act II title crawl then plays, confirming Shade’s induction as an official racer, and you can talk to Darius Pax to collect your upgrades before moving on.
