Aniimo: How to Get Sparki (Nighttime Spawn Locations)

Sparki only appears after dark, so here are its habitats, the time-of-day switch, and its Flamerion evolution.

Sparki only appears after dark, so here are its habitats, the time-of-day switch, and its Flamerion evolution.

Sparki is the Fire-element Regen Aniimo sitting at No. 026 in the Aniilog, and it is one of the easier early creatures to miss entirely. Walk through Nimbus Fields in broad daylight and you will find nothing but flowers. The creature is locked behind the in-game clock, and once you know that, catching one takes a couple of minutes.

Quick answer: Set the in-game time period to Nighttime, travel to Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang Ridge, or Blitzwood, and throw an Anipod Pro at a wild Sparki.

Where Sparki spawns in Aniimo

Sparki has three recorded habitats, and every one of them shares the same condition. The creature will not appear during the day, no matter how long you wait or how many times you reload the area.

Nimbus Fields is the most convenient of the three for a first catch. It is an early Breezy Plains zone, wild creatures there sit around Lv. 17–21, and Sparki spawns cluster across the central and southern parts of the map, often tucked under trees. Opening the map and selecting Nimbus Fields will show you exactly which grid squares the game flags as Sparki territory.

How to switch to nighttime and catch Sparki

Fast travel to Nimbus Fields in Breezy Plains. You want to be standing in the habitat before you change the clock, since spawns populate around you when the time period flips.
Open the main menu. This is the overlay with Inventory, Anilog, Elite Training, and Homeland laid out for you.

Look at the icon bar running down the right side of the menu and pick Day and night. This is the time-of-day control.

Select Nighttime and confirm. The game will tell you plainly that you are “Currently in the Nighttime time period,” which is your signal that the swap took.

The Day and night option is not available from the start. You need to clear a certain number of quests before the time-of-day control unlocks, so if the icon is missing, keep progressing the main story.

Sweep the field on foot. Sparki glows in the dark, which makes it easy to spot from a distance, and the spawns are dense enough that you will usually see several at once. Check around isolated trees first.

Lock on and throw an Anipod Pro. A capture at this level is quick, and there is no need to weaken the creature first if you are using a stronger capture device.

Confirming the catch in the Aniimo index

Open the Anilog and pull up the Nimbus Fields collection page. Sparki’s entry will be filled in once the capture registers, and the page lists its habitat, its Nighttime requirement, and the highlighted habitat squares on the regional map. The zone’s completion percentage ticks up at the same time, so a jump in that number is a second confirmation that the creature landed in your log.

Sparki stats, trait, and skills

Sparki is a Lumin Stage Fire Aniimo in the Regen role, with a Fire Homeland ability at Lv. 2. Its flames give off no heat at all — they pull heat out of the surroundings instead, which is how the creature disguises itself as a campfire.

Its trait, Blazing Flames, keeps 20 stacks of Fire Debuff on the creature at all times. Trick Fire Ring adds 4 stacks per use and Fire Orb adds 3.

Trick Fire Ring rewards distance. The ring expands and then contracts onto the target, and the farther away that target is, the harder it hits, up to 50 percent bonus damage. Fire Orb is a simple aimed throw you can hold to line up. Sparki has no mobility skill.

Sparki’s other forms

Four recolored variants share the No. 026 slot, each taking its color from whatever the creature has been burning through.

  • Basic Form — the standard version found in Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang Ridge, and Blitzwood.
  • Highland Form — night-time pranksters that sneak up on travelers and sulk when the scare fails.
  • Forest Form — recolored after feeding on fog. Following one into the mist will get you lost.
  • Sea of Flowers Form — recolored by pollen, and found in the Sea of Flowers at night.

Evolving Sparki into Flamerion

Sparki jumps straight from Lumin Stage to Nova Stage. Raise it to Lv. 21 and pay the evolution cost of Blaze Stone x3, and it becomes Flamerion, No. 27 in the index. The Sea of Flowers variant follows the same level requirement but has to be standing in the Sea of Flowers at night when you evolve it.

Flamerion is a nocturnal Fire creature in the ENERGY role with 80 HP, 113 attack, 70 defense, 115 EP regen, and 113 magic attack. Its body is made of gaseous energy, so it can split itself at will and produce clones. It brings Fire Orb along from Sparki and adds Phantom Barrage, Phantom Flame Cannon, and its own version of Trick Fire Ring, and it lives in Beast Fang Ridge.

If you plan to farm a few Sparki for a good roll before evolving, stay in Nimbus Fields with the clock set to night. The spawns there are clustered tightly enough that you can clear a full circuit of the field and come back to fresh creatures without ever changing zones.
