Every Aniimo carries its own Research progress inside its Aniilog entry, and the reward for pushing that progress is purely cosmetic capacity. Each of the four Research Levels unlocks another slot for accessories, so a fully researched Aniimo can wear more than one you have barely touched.

Quick answer: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Prismatic are the four Research Levels. They unlock 2, 3, 4, and 5 accessory slots, and you raise them by earning Research Points from that Aniimo’s Field Notes and Topics.

Research Levels and their accessory slot rewards

There are four Research Level tiers for each Aniimo, and each one raises the number of accessory slots available to that specific Aniimo. The rewards stack as you climb, so reaching a higher tier keeps everything the earlier tiers gave you and adds one more slot on top. The ceiling is five accessory slots at the Prismatic level.

A Prismatic Research Level does not turn an Aniimo into a Prismana form or give it the Sparkling trait. Those are separate collection systems. Prismatic here only marks full Research completion and the final accessory slot.

Progress is shared within a research family

Research belongs to an Aniimo’s family rather than to a single form. Forms in the same family share the same Research meter and the same unlocked slot count, so you do not have to clear the tree again for each form you own. Pick the family you actually want to customize before you start grinding topics, because the slots you unlock follow that whole family.

Accessories themselves still belong to the individual Aniimo you equip them on. The Research Level only opens the room to place them.

How to raise a Research Level

You move up the tiers by filling the Research bar with Research Points, and both sources of those points sit inside each Aniimo’s Aniilog entry. The two you will use most are Field Notes and Topics.

Complete Field Notes

Field Notes are the named discoveries listed in the Field Notes menu of that Aniimo’s Aniilog entry. Finish them to earn Research Points for that specific Aniimo. Completing them means working through set tasks such as photographing the exact Aniimo, clearing specific Sanctums, and other targeted objectives tied to the species.

Complete Topics

Topics are the tasks listed in the Topic menu of the same entry. Clearing them adds Research Points as well, and each completed milestone hands over 10 or 20 points. Fold these into normal play by using the Aniimo you are researching during combat and catching the extra copies you meet anyway.

Topic tasks also pay out occasional extras beyond points. Those bonus rewards include the following:

  • Sparkling Crystals
  • Starcryst Essences
  • Morph Orbs
  • Additional items on top of the above

Confirm the slot unlocked and equip it

When you cross a tier, the game confirms it with an “Aniimo Accessory Slot Unlocked” message, and the Research crown on the Aniilog entry updates to the new level. The extra slot is capacity only, so nothing is equipped automatically.

To use the new room, open Appearance, switch to the Aniimo tab, select the freshly opened slot, and choose an accessory you own. You still need the accessory itself before the slot means anything on that Aniimo’s model.
