Fortnite Override: All Exotic Weapon Locations

Three spots in Chapter 7 Season 4 can drop a random Exotic, and here is what each of the five weapons does.

Three spots in Chapter 7 Season 4 can drop a random Exotic, and here is what each of the five weapons does.

Exotic items in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override are tied to three fixed activities on the Island, but the weapon you actually receive is decided at random each time. That means you can farm the same spots repeatedly and pull a different Exotic on every attempt.

Quick answer: Complete the Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor, open the Mega Maze Vault, or use the Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly. Each has a chance to drop one of five random Exotics.

Where Exotic weapons drop in Chapter 7 Season 4

All three sources sit at set points on the map, and none of them guarantees an Exotic on its own. Each one gives you a chance at a drop, so expect to run them more than once.

Duck Race minigame

Touch down at the Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor, then begin the race.
Allow the ducks to make their way toward the finish line south of the point of interest. After they cross it, an Exotic may drop.

Mega Maze Vault

Inside the maze, shoot the Braziers that move around the paths to earn a Vault Key.
Carry the key back to the main building and open the vault. One of the guaranteed Rare Chests inside can produce an Exotic.

Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly

Locate the Tetris Tower, which spawns in a random spot on the map each match.
Reach the tower’s summit, then activate the rift to receive one random Exotic along with additional rewards.

Since the payout is random, the fastest way to target a specific Exotic is simply to repeat whichever of these three spots is closest to your drop.

Every Exotic weapon in the current loot pool

Five unique Exotics are available right now, each a modified version of an existing weapon with its own effect. Any of the three sources above can roll any of these.

ExoticEffect
Overclocked 8-Bit ShotgunSiphons health and shield from enemies when it deals damage.
Exotic Rebecca’s GunsBullets ricochet off surfaces and cause explosions.
Accelerant Drum GunFire rate and your movement speed climb the longer you hold the trigger.
Balloon Popper Assault RifleBalloon explosions give opponents balloons; eliminated balloon players drop healing orbs.
Overpowered ShotgunDamage rises with each consecutive hit and resets if you miss.

The Overpowered Shotgun rewards accuracy, since one missed shot wipes out the damage stack you have built. The Accelerant Drum Gun works the opposite way, ramping up as long as you keep firing, which pairs well with aggressive pushes.

The Balloon Popper Assault Rifle stands out for its healing loop, turning eliminated tagged players into recovery orbs. That makes it useful for sustaining yourself during drawn-out fights.

How to confirm you got an Exotic

A successful drop appears as a weapon with the Exotic rarity color and one of the five names listed above. If the Duck Race finishes, the vault opens, or you use the rift and no Exotic appears, the roll simply missed. Run the same source again for another chance.

More Exotics are planned to join this pool during the Fortnitemares update, which will expand the list of possible drops from these same activities.
