Halloween Event
The Halloween Event opened on October 15 at 6:00 PM ET and is scheduled to close on November 5 at 2:00 PM ET, giving it a full three-week window. That span lines up with its headline feature: a Halloween quest with three weeks of objectives and cosmetic payouts, including two classic faces, a Reaper Cloak outfit, and both a standard and a glowing version of the Reaper Hood.
The update adds the Reaper Scythe as an event melee weapon, alongside a locked event room that can only be opened with a unique key item. A new Sacrifice exchange mechanic has been attached to the Summoning Circle random events, and the developer has raised loot spawn rates and loot variety across the event’s locations on the Halsey archipelago. There are also new cosmetics to find in the wild, among them a gray US military vest and a pair of Soviet-style caps. Smaller tweaks round it out, including idle hold poses for melee weapons (applied to the scythe and longsword for now) and a reworked Mysterious Goop Juice Blend that makes the Infected ignore its user for a short time at the cost of draining some health.
Because the event revives content from last year’s Halloween run on top of this year’s additions, returning players have a head start on recognizing what is back and what is genuinely new.
