Ride A Pet is built around solo movement. You hatch a mount, you ride it, you go find a better egg. Riding together with another player is a separate, physical thing in the world: a marked station on the giant tree with a fiery winged mount parked on it, labelled Ride Pet With Friend. You cannot trigger it from a menu, and you cannot do it alone.
Quick answer: Pull a friend into your server with the Roblox Invite Friends menu, then have both of you walk to the Ride Pet With Friend station on the tree and mount the phoenix there.
Where the Ride Pet With Friend station is
The station sits on the giant tree area of the map, away from the ranch plots. It is easy to spot because it is not a stall like Food, Track, Gears, or Sell. It is a mount model on a raised platform, with a flaming winged pet standing on it and a sign above spelling out exactly what it is for.
Treat the sign as the confirmation you are in the right spot. There is no other prompt to hunt for, and no unlock cost gating the platform itself.
Get your friend into the same server first
Nothing about shared riding works across servers. Ride A Pet runs 6-player servers, so seats are limited but easy to fill, and the invite flow is standard Roblox rather than anything in-game.
Mount the shared pet at the station
Getting on works the same way it does for any pet you own. Walk onto the platform and use your mount input. The difference is that the phoenix at this station is placed there for two players rather than pulled from your own roster.

Have both players stand on the platform before either of you presses mount. Standing off to the side and jumping around the model does nothing useful.
You know it worked when both characters are attached to the same phoenix and the mount moves as one unit. If only one of you is riding, the other is either off the platform or in a different server.
Friend Boost: the reward for playing together
Sharing a mount is mostly for fun, but having friends in your session ties into Friend Boost, a free income bonus tied to adding friends. The bonus shows as a percentage on the HUD, and it stacks with offline earnings, mutations, and Rebirth multipliers.
Because the displayed percentage can change between versions, read it off your own HUD during a session rather than assuming a fixed number. Run a short session with a friend, check the figure before and after they join, and you will know exactly what your server is giving you.
What to do once you are riding together
The shared mount does not pause the rest of the game. Server-wide notices keep firing while you ride, including Eggs have been restocked! and the Blackhole Egg spawn announcement. Those are timed opportunities, and a full server means competition for the same target.
A practical split is to dismount when an announcement lands, take separate routes on your own fastest mounts, and regroup at the tree afterwards. Two players covering different zones beat two players glued to the same phoenix when a rare egg is on a timer.
Visiting your friend’s ranch
Every player in the server gets their own plot, labelled with their name, sitting alongside Your Ranch. You can walk straight across to a friend’s plot and look at what they are keeping there, from a snail on the starter end to whatever oversized egg or high-tier pet they have parked.
The center of the map still holds the Food, Track, Gears, and Sell stalls, plus the Rebirth panel. Those stay personal to you and are unaffected by who else is in the server.
Riding two-up is a short detour rather than a progression system, so treat it that way. Fill the server, meet at the tree, take the phoenix out for a run, and then go back to your own mounts when the next egg announcement drops.
