Project Slayers 2 Leveling Guide: Every Grind Spot From 0 to 255

The exact quest givers, areas, and level ranges that carry a new character from Windy Peak to max level.

The exact quest givers, areas, and level ranges that carry a new character from Windy Peak to max level.

Leveling in Project Slayers 2 is almost entirely quest-driven. Each area has one or two NPCs handing out repeatable kill quests, and the fastest route to 255 is simply moving to the next quest giver the moment your current one stops keeping pace with your level. Wander off that chain and you end up fighting mobs worth a fraction of the experience you should be earning.

Quick answer: Run the quest chain Krue → Tom → Chaka → Wagwan up to level 60, clear Final Selection, then work through Jugg, Goro, Tomoi, and Mitsu before finishing on endgame boss and crow quests.

Level brackets from 1 to 255

Every bracket below is tied to a specific quest giver. When the quests in your current zone stop offering meaningful experience, that is your cue to move on rather than keep farming.

Grind rules that apply at every level

A handful of habits change how fast the whole route goes, and they cost nothing to adopt on a fresh character.

  • Busier servers pay out more experience from mobs and quest turn-ins, so avoid empty lobbies.
  • Reset your spawn at the nearest Bamboo Grove every time you change grinding areas.
  • Finish the Recover the Lost Pages quest early for the Book of Guidance, which points you at your next progression quest.
  • Buy a katana from Raze before you leave Windy Peak. The Regular Katana costs 500 Wen and the Fancy Katana costs 1,500 Wen.
  • Unlock movement nodes first. Wall Climb and double jump gate several trainer routes and later areas.

Skill points come from the Skill Tree, which holds max health, stamina regen, block points, weapon masteries, and innate skills. Mastery levels up separately from your character level, so raw levels alone will not finish your moveset. Spend points against whatever is currently stopping you, whether that is dying mid-fight, running out of stamina, or being unable to climb to a trainer.

Levels 1–26: Windy Peak bandits and the bear area

You start in Windy Peak with Krue as the main quest giver and Kazu handing out side work. Repeat Krue’s quest to defeat three Bandits until roughly level 6, then take the Mini Boss Zuko quest at level 7. The village also has a quest about civilians who are secretly spying for the bandits outside, and the notes they drop point you toward where to head next.

Around level 10, head through the cave to the bear area and pick up Tom’s repeatable quests. Bear Cubs carry you from roughly level 13, and the Mother Bear quest opens at level 18. Keep looping Tom’s quests until you are close to 26. The Black Merchant Kuro also stands near the bear spawn, selling cosmetic items like lanterns, masks, necklaces, and scarves if you want to spend leftover Wen.

Levels 25–62: Breathing Style, Kaiden and the first demon cave

Breathing Styles unlock at level 25 through trainer questlines. The current roster covers Water, Thunder, Flame, Wind, Stone, Insect, Sound, and Serpent. Each trainer asks for its own materials, so read the dialogue before committing to a long farm. Urokodaki sits through the underwater cave route near Bamboo Grove and wants 5,000 Wen plus 30 Demon Horns. Rengu is found across one of the two large bridges from Mistfall Village and asks for 10 Demon Horns. Obari waits on the cliff north of Windy Peak for 20 Demon Horns and five Beast Cores.

At level 26, follow the slope up to Chaka and farm Kaiden Subordinates. The Kaiden boss quest becomes available around level 34, and you should stay in that area until 40.

From 40 onward, travel down past the waterfall below the bear area to Wagwan. His quests cover cave demons and the sickle boss Hoyuzo, and they remain the best single source of experience until level 60. Hoyuzo’s guards are a nuisance, but clearing them is part of the quest.

Final Selection at level 45 (why level 60 is the safer number)

Final Selection is the gate between the early grind and everything after it. The minimum requirement is level 45, but a solo player realistically needs level 60 to finish it, which is why Wagwan’s quests are worth stretching out.

This zone occupies the map’s far-western edge. Start at Mistfall Harbor, go over the bridge, and continue toward the Butterfly Estate. After reaching it, use the lengthy bridge heading south to Final Selection Plains, then stay on the northeast path until you reach the entrance gate. Because the gate opens according to a repeating timer instead of remaining accessible, arriving during the closed portion means waiting for the next cycle.

The interior sequence begins with The Sisters and proceeds through Rem, Vael, Klien, Mizuto, Lavato, Levi, and Steve before the Hand Demon. During these objectives, gather Rem’s fruit, recover Klien’s Nichirin Katana, explore an underwater cave, and finish a parkour dungeon. After defeating the Hand Demon, go back to The Sisters and complete the chain.

You know it worked when the turn-in awards Mizunoto rank, a Slayer Uniform, Ore, and a Kasugai Crow. The crow is the important part for leveling, because it starts feeding you quests for the rest of the game.

If possible, party with a friend, though each player must follow their own objectives and perform their own turn-ins because credit is recorded individually.

Levels 62–145: the post-Selection route

Dreamfall Hollow (62–75)

Head north of the bear site and into the cave to reach Jugg at Mistfall Harbor. His quests send you after Blood Hounded Demons, which cover the stretch up to roughly level 75.

Veillfall Cavern (75–90)

Demon Slayer Goro is found beneath the waterfall near the Butterfly Estate. Run his demon-clearing quests alongside the boss Soryu Trainee Goki, and stack crow quests on top of them so you are progressing two quest sources at once.

Iceveil Valley (90–145)

Entering the snow region introduces cold damage, so keep an eye on your health while travelling. Wounded Slayer Tomoi hands out the level 90+ quests that take you to around 105. Push further into the snowy zone to find Demon Slayer Mitsu, whose quests remain relevant all the way to level 145.

Levels 145–255: endgame boss and crow quest grinding

Past 145 there is no single quest hub left. Experience comes from repeatable boss quests, crow quests, Hashira encounters, and demon bosses such as Akaza. Cycle between whichever of those are currently available instead of waiting on one respawn timer.

Slayer Progress becomes worth attention here too. Ren at the Butterfly Estate sells gourds once you return the blade he lost near the waterfall, and gourd levels grant permanent stat increases. For funding, unlock Ginzo at Mistfall Harbor by returning the Jewelry Box from his house in the Village Hidden in the Mist. He buys loot, including coin items.

The route holds together because each quest giver overlaps with the next. If experience per kill suddenly feels thin, you have almost certainly outlevelled your current NPC and should walk to the next one on the list rather than grinding harder where you are.
