The demon path in Project Slayers 2 is gated behind a reputation score, a nighttime NPC hunt, and a multi-part quest before you ever touch a Blood Demon Art. Once you clear that gate, the rest of the climb is a fixed chain of quest givers, soul farming, and a handful of bosses that drop the weapons demons actually want.
Quick answer: Reach -40 reputation, find Muzan at night in Mistfall Harbor, Hidden Mist Village, or Iceveil Valley, finish his Spider Lily and doctor quest, then drink Muzan’s Blood.
What to set up before you transform
Every character slot starts as a Human, so nothing is locked in until you drink the blood. Getting a few things in order first saves a lot of pain later, because a fresh low-level demon burns in daylight and has no money to fix it.
- Level 20 to 40 before transforming, so you can survive the slayers that spawn during the demon quest.
- The Book of Guidance, unlocked by talking to Kona at Windy Peak and finishing Recover the Lost Pages, which asks for five pages scattered nearby.
- 10,000 Wen for the Black Amigasa sun hat. Coin Pouch drops and group boss runs are the fastest way to bank it.
- The MoldySugar delivery quest at Windy Peak, which unlocks the hat shop itself.
Once the Book of Guidance is active, it sits on the map screen and highlights recommended leveling paths and quest locations. It is the single most useful navigation tool on a demon file, since the demon quest chain jumps between regions constantly.

Add to Google Preferences →How to reach -40 reputation
Muzan will not offer the transformation until your reputation sits at -40 or lower. Killing civilians around the starter village works, but each one only moves the counter by -1, which means 40 separate kills.

Slayers are far more efficient. The ones patrolling near the Butterfly Estate give roughly -9 reputation per kill, so about five of them clears the requirement. Slayer bosses such as Giyu count as well.
Negative reputation is also the key that opens Muzan’s Lair later, so there is no reason to climb back toward positive numbers once you commit to the demon route.
Finding Muzan and finishing the transformation quest
Muzan only appears at night and rotates between village areas. Mistfall Harbor is the most common sighting because it sits close to the beginner zone, but Hidden Mist Village and Iceveil Valley are both valid spawns. Server hopping can land you on a nighttime server, though waiting out a full day cycle in one server works too.

Surviving daylight: Black Amigasa and clan choice
Sunlight kills demons. If you step outside during the day without protection, your character burns down and dies, which makes daytime questing impossible until you solve it.
The Kamado clan grants passive sun immunity, which is why it sits at the top of most demon clan preferences alongside Douma and Himejima in the Clan Spin menu. Without it, buy the Black Amigasa from Elara in Mistfall Harbor for 10,000 Wen after finishing MoldySugar’s delivery. Her stock rotates and the shop restocks roughly every hour, so check back if the hat is not listed.
The Black Amigasa is a stopgap. It provides sun protection and nothing else, no stat buffs, and better hats with added bonuses become available later.
Getting a Blood Demon Art and unlocking its skills
Negative reputation lets you enter Muzan’s Lair, where Blood Demon Arts are rolled. Characters start with five spins and each roll costs three spins, so the first pull is free but the second needs more.

You do not need Robux for any of this. BDA orbs drop from bosses and chests, including luck chests, so farming the map for orbs replaces paid spins entirely. Once you select an orb, the game hands you a randomized quest with map markers. Finish it and the Blood Demon Art is yours.
Dying during the Blood Demon Art quest can wipe your progress on it. Avoid risky fights until the objective is done.
After that, open the skill tree and buy the first ability. Everything past it requires mastery, which builds up simply by using the art’s moves in combat. Some arts work bare-handed, while others need a specific weapon. Blood Manipulation, for example, needs a sickle, and the sickle drop is a level 52 boss reward, which makes it a poor first pick for a new demon.
Demon Blood Demon Art tiers
| Tier | Blood Demon Art | Origin |
|---|---|---|
| S | Blood Sickles | Gyutaro |
| S | Cryokinesis | Douma |
| A | Speed Augmentation | Slasher |
| A | Dream Manipulation | Enmu |
| A | Destructive Death | Akaza |
| B | Combustible Blood | Nezuko |
| B | Arrow | Yahaba |
| C | Flesh Manipulation | Daki |
| D | Temari | Susamaru |
Rankings here reflect PvE performance, which is where the game currently lives. When judging any art yourself, weigh how reliably its main damage move connects rather than its ceiling. An art you can land consistently clears content faster than a stronger one that needs perfect setup, and rerolling purely because an art looks popular usually costs more resources than it saves.
Demon progression and souls
Demon progression is a separate track from your character level, and it is where a lot of your passive power comes from. Slayers raise their equivalent stat with purchased gourds. Demons raise theirs by killing NPCs and picking up the souls they drop. Press M, open Player Info, then select Progression to see the bar.
| Soul type | Dropped by | Progression value |
|---|---|---|
| Weak Soul | Low-level NPCs | Smallest gain |
| Strong Soul | Tougher NPCs | Moderate gain |
| Brave Soul | Hashira-tier NPCs | +25 |
The bar fills through Level 4, which is the cap, and each level grants buffs and passive abilities. Two details save a lot of wasted time. Killing other demons yields no souls at all, so farm human NPCs exclusively, and 2x Soul boosts are worth saving for boss sessions rather than trash mobs.
Demon leveling route to 125
Once you are a demon, the quest chain splits away from the slayer route. Each quest giver below covers a band of levels, and the Book of Guidance plus the Recommended Quest toggle on the map will point you at the next glowing NPC when you lose track.
| Levels | Quest giver | Location | Targets |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–10 | Krue | Starter area | Bandits |
| 10–26 | Tom | Starter area | Bear cubs, Mother Bear |
| 26–40 | Chaka | Starter area | Kaiden subordinates |
| 40–62 | Wagwan | Bamboo Grove cave | Hoyozu quests |
| 62–75 | Shady Individual Rooyi | Mistfall Harbor | Mizunotos |
| 75–90 | Demon Mokuro | Behind Butterfly Estate waterfall | Assorted hunts |
| 90–105 | Demon Delroy | Iceveil Valley | Kanoe slayers |
| 105–125 | Demon Slayer Mitsu | Iceveil Valley | Frost and Blaze demons |

Muzan’s own task menu is worth checking between quest bands. Picking nearby trainee slayer targets gives quick EXP and pushes your reputation further into the negative at the same time.
The Iceveil Valley restocking quest for level 100+
Past level 100 the standard quests slow down, and one repeatable errand carries the rest of the climb. Fast travel to the Frost Veil Shrine in Iceveil Valley and pick up Iceveil Guard Shiro’s restocking quest, then buy the health elixirs it asks for in Mistfall Harbor and hand them in. The EXP payout per turn-in is large enough to outpace most combat quests at that level.

Level 125 and up: Muzan’s bounty missions
At the cap, ring the Biwa Bell and take Muzan’s high-tier elimination tasks. These bounties send you after bosses such as Rengoku, Shinobu, and Akaza. There is no level left to gain, so the point is mastery. Repeating these missions is the most efficient way to bank weapon and Blood Demon Art mastery for the rest of your skill tree.

Demon weapons, boss drops, and endgame gear
Demons get their own weapon pool rather than breathing style katanas. Sickles, Claws, and the Spear cover the standard options, and the Bladed Wagasa umbrella is the standout because it grants sun immunity on top of solid combat performance.
Hoyuzo: Sickles
Hoyuzo sits inside the waterfall cave in Iceveil Valley and drops the Sickles along with gear, with the relevant drops starting around level 52. If you rolled Blood Manipulation or plan to, this is the boss that makes the art usable. Repeat runs also feed into the Sickles V2 upgrade.
Fujiko: Bladed Wagasa
Fujiko is fought out near the Butterfly Estate and Final Selection Plains. Beating her yields the Bladed Wagasa umbrella and the Shade Breaker move. Because the umbrella handles sunlight on its own, it effectively retires the Black Amigasa slot and frees your hat for something with actual stats.
Ouigahara Dungeon and V2 weapons
The Ouigahara Dungeon is where V2 weapons get crafted, and it has to be unlocked first. Find the Blacksmith in Hidden Mist Village and finish his questline, after which the normal dungeon becomes selectable from the main menu. For armor, the Duelist set is the strongest fit for a demon build at endgame.
From there the loop is straightforward. Max your demon progression to Level 4 with soul farming, keep running Muzan’s bounties for mastery, and cycle Hoyuzo and the Ouigahara Dungeon until your weapon reaches V2. That combination is what a finished demon file actually looks like.
