At Volcanic Vents, the red altar takes Infernal Iguanafish, Blisterback Blenny, and Inferno Hide in exchange for the Heat Upgrade and Glimmerfin Suit Lvl 1.
One layer deeper, Challenger’s Deep asks for Cryoskin, Polar Prowler, and your Lvl 1 suit, and hands back the Ice Upgrade plus Glimmerfin Suit Lvl 2. The ice pool sits at the end of a frozen tunnel, and both fish prefer night and winter conditions.
From there the blue submarine drops through the dark vine tunnels and the skeletal anglerfish maze. Turning up the brightness setting makes those corridors far easier to read before the cavern finally opens up.
