Grape Manifest Quest Guide: Finding Brother Neals in WoW Classic

Grape Manifest is the third and final step of Milly Osworth’s vineyard chain in Elwynn Forest, and it is the one that strands the most new Alliance characters. The delivery itself takes seconds. The problem is that Brother Neals sits in the highest room of Northshire Abbey, in a bell tower that the quest marker does not usefully point at from ground level.

Quick answer: Brother Neals is at the very top of Northshire Abbey, around 49.5, 41.5. Enter the abbey, take the spiral stairwell up two flights, then walk behind the wooden platform in the bell tower.

The manifest is handed to you by Milly the moment you complete Milly’s Harvest, so there is nothing to loot, kill, or gather. The whole quest happens inside Elwynn Forest, and the item cannot be traded to another player.

Grape Manifest was removed from the modern game in patch 4.0.3a. It only exists in Classic-era clients, where the full Milly Osworth branch is still intact.

Route to Brother Neals in the Northshire Abbey bell tower

From Milly’s vineyard, run back toward Northshire Valley and open your world map to line up on the abbey. The building sits on the eastern side of the valley, and the tower you need is the tall one attached to it.

After crossing the courtyard past Deputy Willem, enter the abbey through its main doors. In the entrance hall, continue straight, pass Marshal McBride, and proceed into the main hall.

From the entrance, follow the wall on your right to the candelabra. Turn ninety degrees toward the abbey’s rear; the doorway to the spiral stairwell is straight ahead, just left of the Hall of Arms entrance.

Run up the first flight. You will come out on a landing with a wooden room. This is where most players turn back, assuming they have hit a dead end.

Move around that room until you find the second flight, which sits almost directly above the first, and climb it into the bell tower. Ignore the short set of four or five wooden steps leading onto the raised platform.

Circle behind the platform to locate Brother Neals, who is tucked away there with his wine. This placement keeps him hidden from both the stairs and the front of the room.

Rewards and how to confirm the turn-in worked

Speak to Neals and hand over the manifest. He greets you with an offer of a drink, reads the document, and reacts to the news that Milly’s crop survived the brigands. Then he lets you pick one of two pieces of gear.

You know it registered when the dialogue window shows the Complete Quest button, the reward choice appears, and the quest drops out of your log with the experience and Stormwind reputation gain in your chat frame. The Grape Manifest item also disappears from your bags.

Where Grape Manifest sits in the Northshire chain

The vineyard branch opens after Brotherhood of Thieves, which itself follows A Threat Within. From there the sequence runs Milly Osworth, then Milly’s Harvest, then Grape Manifest. A separate branch sends you after Garrick Padfoot instead, so you can work through both before leaving the valley.

Once Neals takes the manifest, the chain ends there. He has no follow-up quest, and nothing else in Northshire depends on the delivery, so you are free to move on to the rest of Elwynn Forest with the extra Stormwind standing banked.
