Suoming is a 5-star Electro Resonator who fights with a Sword, arriving in phase 2 of the Wuthering Waves 3.7 update. Most of what she needs to reach level 90 and max out her Forte is already farmable, so you can start stockpiling now and skip the wait after she joins your roster.

Raising Suoming from level 1 to 90 takes four items plus credits. Her enemy drop is the Howler Core family, one of the oldest and most common core types in the game, so many accounts already hold a large stock.

Suoming wields a Sword, so her Forgery line is the Wing Polarizer ladder, not Carved Crystal or String. FF Howler Core at 57 is her single largest core line, so plan to convert lower cores upward rather than grinding elites for it.
Unspoken Rue weapon materials
Her signature Sword, Unspoken Rue, uses Mech Cores and more Wing Polarizers to reach level 90. Because both her Forte tree and her weapon draw from the same Forgery line, one domain feeds both builds.

Where to farm each material
Howler Cores (LF, MF, HF, FF)
Howler Cores come from Howler-class Tacet Discords throughout the Jinzhou and Mengzhou maps. Supply Packs are another source, while the Synthesizer can merge three cores from a lower tier into one core of the next tier, which is often quicker than hunting elites for FF drops.
Forged Empyrean’s Sigh
This ascension boss drop comes from the Calamity Effigy world boss, located in the northwest sector of Xuanfang Hold at Verdant Court. To unlock the fight, complete the main quest Chapter 4 Act 3: Song of the Heart Sword, or reach it through Early Access under Guidebook, then Boss Challenge, when it is available. Jingran and Qingxiao use the same item, so you may already have a partial stack saved.
Wing Polarizers
The four Polarizer tiers drop from the Forgery Challenge in Mengzhou. Running the highest difficulty you can clear yields the most Layered Wing Polarizers, and the same domain drops Mech Cores as side loot, covering her Forte line and weapon in one run.
Mech Cores
Mech Cores are an enemy drop tied to mechanical foes. Open the Guidebook, select the Mech Core entry to detect nearby enemies on the map, then travel to them and clear the fight. Forgery domains also drop the lower tiers as side loot.
Materials locked until Version 3.7
Two items cannot be gathered yet because their content ships with Suoming’s patch.
- Miasmic Branch — a new local specialty tied to the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, also called the Manifold Sanctum. Local specialties respawn daily, so gathering all 60 takes a couple of route runs once the area opens.
- Remnant of the Wheel — a new weekly boss drop capped at three claims per week. At that rate, 26 copies take multiple weekly resets starting from patch day, making it the real bottleneck.
Everything else on her list is live now, so pre-farming her Forged Empyrean’s Sigh, Howler Cores, Wing Polarizers, and Mech Cores ahead of phase 2 means you can push her straight to level 90 and finish Unspoken Rue as soon as the two remaining materials become available. No official release date for Suoming’s banner is currently confirmed beyond Version 3.7 phase 2.
