Leveling in Aniimo runs on more than one bar, which is why the ceiling can feel confusing. Your Pathfinder level, your Student level, and each individual Aniimo’s level all interact, and only one number is the true top. Right now that number is Level 71.
Quick answer: The highest character level in the current version of Aniimo is Level 71. Reaching it grants a one-time reward bundle.

Level 71 rewards in Aniimo
Hitting the current cap pays out a fixed set of items once. These land automatically when your character reaches Level 71.
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Primegy Batteries | 2x |
| Flux Crystals | 5x |
| Credits | 100,000x |
| 5x |
You know it worked when the level indicator reads Level 71 and the reward bundle appears in your inventory.

Aniimo tracks progression across three connected values. Two of them act as ceilings, and the third is what you are usually trying to push higher.

Pathfinder Level (soft cap)
Your Pathfinder Level matches your character’s level and improves stats, damage, capture rate, stamina, and the Twine damage bonus. It also serves as a soft cap: an Aniimo cannot rise above your current Pathfinder Level. Increasing this level lets your creatures become stronger.
Student Level (hard cap)
Student Level is a separate track that sets the hard cap for both your Pathfinder Level and your Aniimo. Each Student rank pushes the ceiling up in steps, for example Student Level 1 allows up to Level 15 and Student Level 2 allows up to Level 25. You raise it by progressing through the Elite Training Curriculum, the game’s main quest. Each rank also grants Trait Points for new passive and active skills, plus access to special evolutions and traversal options.
Aniimo Level
An Aniimo’s individual level determines its stats, strength, and available abilities. EXP is awarded to your Aniimo and Pathfinder simultaneously, while the Aniimo’s level can never pass the soft cap established by your Pathfinder Level.

EXP is not lost at the cap
When you reach a cap, any extra EXP is held in escrow instead of being wasted. You can spot this because the level bar shows a surplus, reading something like 7000/3500 to level up. As soon as you lift the cap, that stored EXP applies toward the next levels.
Because surplus EXP is banked, you never have to stop earning it just because you are stuck at a cap. Keep completing content and cash in the stored EXP after you raise your Student Level.
Raising the cap toward Level 71
Since Student Level controls the hard ceiling, breaking the cap means advancing the main quest and passing assessments with Dr. Lewis at the Outpost. The loop repeats the whole way up.

From there the pattern holds: activities, Alpha Aniimo, capture badges, and Core Course objectives feed each assessment, and each assessment lifts the ceiling. Keep repeating it and the cap climbs until you reach Level 71.
