Aniimo mixes cooperative exploration with competitive combat, so you can pit your creature team directly against other players. The competitive side is smaller than the co-op side right now, and it centers on a handful of clearly defined modes rather than an always-on open-world free-for-all.

Operation: Egg Heist (PvPvE mode)
Operation: Egg Heist is the game’s main competitive mode. It drops you into a 3-player team and sends you into the Lost Isles to hunt down rare eggs while fighting both wild creatures and rival squads for them. Because you battle the environment and other players at the same time, it plays as PvPvE rather than a pure duel arena.
The mode ships with three difficulty tiers, so newer and experienced players can each find a bracket that fits. Its area is set to level 50, and it counts as late-game content.
You must reach the Veteran Pathfinder rank before you can queue for Egg Heist.
Pathfinder Challenges (1-on-1 open-world battles)
Scattered across the open world are Pathfinders you can challenge to one-on-one battles with your Aniimo team. These fights test your roster against a single opponent rather than a full squad.
Winning a Pathfinder Challenge hands you rewards that help your progression, including fragments of Aniimo you cannot obtain elsewhere. That makes clearing them worthwhile beyond the fight itself.
Duels in social hubs
Shared public spaces such as Astra city, outposts, campfires, and RV parks let you see other players in person. Alongside shopping and hatching eggs, you can approach another player and duel them to settle whose team is stronger.
Dueling is also available directly through a player’s profile when you meet them, so a quick sparring match never needs a full mode queue.
More PvP modes are planned
Player-versus-player was confirmed during the Closed Beta Test, and Operation: Egg Heist is the headline competitive feature at launch. Additional PvP modes are expected to arrive over time, though no official date for the next one is currently confirmed. For now, Egg Heist, Pathfinder Challenges, and social-hub duels are the ways to test your team against real opponents.
