Alpha Panpanta is a Water-element Alpha boss that patrols the shoreline at Echoback Landing in the Breezy Plains region. It hits hard when cornered, but it folds fast to Ice damage, and defeating it opens a one-time window to add the creature to your Anilog. The whole encounter is short once you bring the right element and the right capture pod.

Quick answer: Fight the Lv. 38 Alpha Panpanta with an Ice Aniimo such as Glynsera, build ultimates to trigger BREAK, then use a 100% Anipod Ultra during the single catch window after it falls.

Where to find Alpha Panpanta

Alpha Panpanta spawns on the beach at Echoback Landing, an area inside Breezy Plains rated around Lv. 37–41. Open the world map, fast-travel to the Echoback Landing Bloom, and head north toward the shore. The exact marker sits at coordinates -1609, 1643.

The boss respawns every 20 seconds after it is cleared, so you can reattempt the fight quickly if you need materials or want another run.

Which Aniimo to bring: exploit the Water weakness

Alpha Panpanta is a Water-element creature, which makes Ice attacks super effective against it. The game itself flags this mid-fight, recommending Glynsera, an Ice DPS Aniimo, for the cleanest result. Any Ice form or mount that lets you land repeated hits will melt its health bar far faster than a neutral team.

Ice picks like Glynsera cover DPS, while Geoclaw fills the BREAK role and Glacy handles healing if you want a full Ice team. Lightning and Grass squads also work well against this shoreline boss if you have those leveled instead.

How to beat Alpha Panpanta

Approach the Lv. 38 Alpha Panpanta on the beach and open with Ice attacks. Super-effective hits stack up damage quickly, so keep pressure on and stay close enough to combo.
Watch the ground for red warning areas that appear before its attacks, and dodge out of them in advance. One of its moves launches a boulder from its shovel; if you dodge that, the boulder stays on the field. Lure the boss’s next charge into that boulder to make it collide and stun itself.
Charge and unleash your ultimate to stagger the boss. A strong Ice ultimate lands heavy damage and helps push it toward its broken state.

Keep attacking to fill the BREAK gauge. When the boss enters BREAK, and again while it recovers from it, it takes greatly increased damage, so pour in your hardest hits during those windows.

Finish it off with rapid attacks while BREAK is active. Once its health reaches zero, the fight ends and the catch prompt opens.

Panpanta’s attacks to watch for

Panpanta fights entirely with Water skills. Knowing what each move does helps you time dodges and avoid its shield phase.

Catching Alpha Panpanta: one chance only

After the boss falls, a catch countdown opens, and you get only one attempt to capture it before the encounter ends. Each attempt costs 30 Primegy, and you cannot catch an Alpha while Twined. Because there is no retry, switch to the most advanced pod you own before you confirm.

Capture chance depends entirely on the pod you pick:

The Anipod Ultra and the Sparkling Cube both guarantee the catch, so use one of those to avoid wasting the single window on a low base rate.

You know it worked when the capture animation plays and Panpanta registers in your Anilog as its Basic Form, tagged BREAK and Swim. The related quest objective, Alpha Antagonist, also flips from [0/1] to [1/1] once the Alpha is defeated and reported.

Rewards for clearing the fight

Defeating and reporting the Alpha grants first-clear rewards including Wave Stones, Credits, Safaris, Windborn Stamps, Glimmer, and EXP, plus a Petal item. Opening the Alpha Chest afterward yields materials such as Dewdrop Crystals, Elemental Stones, and Star Dust, and spending Primegy nets ascension and evolution materials. Wave Stone is the standard material drop.

The Credit payout and some Wave Stone amounts scale with your title rank, as shown below.

Any loot no one collects is mailed back to you, so you will not lose the drops if you leave the field early.

What beating it unlocks

Clearing this boss is also an evolution requirement. Evolving Popota lists defeating Alpha Panpanta at level 39 alongside a Wave Stone, so a captured or cleared Alpha Panpanta feeds directly into that progression. Since it respawns on a 20-second timer, farming repeat clears for Wave Stones and ascension materials is straightforward once you have an Ice team and a stack of guaranteed pods on hand.
