Practical Prey is a low-level Horde quest in Durotar that sends you to hunt Durotar Tigers for their hides. It is a straightforward collect quest, but the fur has an inconsistent drop rate, so where you hunt matters more than how hard you fight.

Where to find Durotar Tigers
Durotar Tigers roam the Echo Isles, the cluster of small islands off the southeastern coast of Durotar, just south and east of Sen’jin Village. They sit at level 7 and 8, wandering the sandy edges of each island near palm trees and troll ruins.
The main central island is usually crowded with other players competing for the same spawns, which makes tagging kills slow. The smaller western islands in the chain hold roughly three to four isolated tigers each with far less competition, so you can almost run laps around one island collecting furs.
The northernmost island doubles up nicely with the Break a Few Eggs quest and has copper nodes to mine, so grab both quests before you swim over.
Tigers will not follow you into deep water, and they Evade if you try to hit them from the water. Fight them on land, and use the water only as an escape if you pull too many.

Rewards and how to confirm completion
You know the objective is done when the tracker shows Durotar Tiger Fur 4/4 and the “Objective Complete” message appears. Turning the furs in to Vel’rin Fang grants the reward and clears the quest from your log.
