Panthalus, the Legendary Ocean King, is a scripted Water-type boss with a health pool topping 353,220 HP, and its enormous body doubles as an easy target. A properly built Eidrolon turns that size into a weakness, landing point-blank Apocalypse casts that drain the bar in seconds. The setup below covers the exact passives, skill, stats, and party you need before the fight.
Quick answer: Give an Eidrolon the Brave, Serenity, Musclehead, and Ferocious passives, teach it Apocalypse, raise its Attack to +60%, fill your party with Dark or Dragon Pals, then mount up and spam Apocalypse into Panthalus, throwing any Pal Sphere at its final sliver of health.
Catch a Level 69 Eidrolon at Sunreach Island
Eidrolon, a Dragon/Dark flying Pal, appears in the skies surrounding Sunreach Island. Once airborne over the island, capture a Level 69 Eidrolon; it supplies all the damage needed for this battle. Its Liberated Pterosaur partner skill allows it to serve as a flying mount, with its power scaling according to your party makeup.

Add to Google Preferences →Set Eidrolon’s passives at the Pal Surgery Table
Place Eidrolon in the Pal Surgery Table and equip four damage-focused passives: Brave, Serenity, Musclehead, and Ferocious. Two of these come from implants sold by merchant NPCs, so buy them first if they are not already on your Pal.
| Implant | Vendor | Location | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Implant: Musclehead | PIDF officer | Small Settlement | 15 Bounty Tokens |
| Implant: Serenity | Arena Merchant | Outside Arena Entrance | 50 Arena Tickets |

Teach Eidrolon the Apocalypse skill
Use Dark Skill Fruit: Apocalypse, obtained from skill fruit trees in the Sakurajima or Feybreak regions, to teach Eidrolon Apocalypse. This Dark-type active skill has 130 base Power and a 20-second cooldown, making it Eidrolon’s primary nuke against Panthalus.
Open your inventory, select the Dark Skill Fruit: Apocalypse, and feed it to Eidrolon. A confirmation appears when the Pal learns the new active skill, so you can slot it into its move list right away.
Max out Attack at the Statue of Power
Take Eidrolon to the Statue of Power and open the Enhance Pals menu, which lets you raise Max Health, Attack, Defense, and Work Speed using Pal Souls. Push its Attack stat up to +60% to sharply increase Apocalypse’s damage per cast.

Medium and Large Pal Souls cover the higher tiers, so stock them before committing to the full +60% upgrade.
Fill the party with Dark and Dragon Pals
Eidrolon’s Liberated Pterosaur partner skill grants +6% Attack and Movement Speed for each other Dragon or Dark Pal in your party. With the four remaining slots filled by Dragon or Dark types, that stacks to a +24% bonus on top of everything above.
Any mix of Dragon or Dark Pals works, since only their typing matters for the bonus. Keeping a second flying mount on the bench is also useful in case Eidrolon goes down mid-fight.

Melt and capture Panthalus
Panthalus roams the ocean around its arena, so fighting mounted keeps you in range and above most of its water attacks. Because its body is a huge hitbox, Apocalypse lands reliably at close range.
You will know it worked when the “Can be captured with a Pal Sphere!” prompt appears and the throw locks in the catch. With the passives, Apocalypse, maxed Attack, and a full Dark/Dragon party in place, Panthalus’s massive HP bar collapses in just a few casts.
